Would our D had been better if we had Abe this season? I'm just wondering what ur thoughts are since we needed a pure pass rusher and he is one.
Well, for the 3 games he was healthy he would have helped. But for the 13 games he wasnt healthy. He wouldnt have helped.
Yeah. We really missed him being injured. Just like he was for the Falcons and missed 8 games. That's what we want.... Why do you make these topics?
healthy or unhealthy is irrelevant. if we were using previous schemes, we would have missed him. but since we run Mangini's 3-4 scheme, Abe wouldn't have produced like we're used to seeing him produce. so, no, we didn't miss him. cheers
I'd say the more appropriate question would be if the Falcons missed Abe this season. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/5042 No doubt we could have used a player with Abe's ability, but Abe is a sore groin waiting to happen.
Considering the surprise emergence of Bryan Thomas to register 8.5 sacks, and do pretty good rushing the passer and the trade got the Jets Nick Mangold...And others have already commented on his injuries this season. No.
Do I miss having a player of his ability: absolutely. Do I miss having John Abraham for the season: No, he wouldn't have played in most of it.
Screw Abe.........He got what he wanted. His money, closer to home and missed half the season because he is a wussy.............
This is a joke right?? John A played I believe 11 quarters this season while iron man Mangold played every game and almost every offensive play AND will do so for the next ten years. John A will be out of the NFL in 3 years..PLEASE
Besides the many brutal comments about him not playing, and noting that the Jets got Mangold for him, don't forget that not having to pay him this year also opened up cap room they could spend elsewhere. So, the answer to the question is (duh) no.
