I want the 78-97 Uniform and logo back

I'd like to see those a couple of times a year,but not every game. I like the ones with the black trim (96? )

 

NO, we should not come up with anything different than any past unis...

I love all the unis.. I can't imagine the FO coming up with a better one.. I wish the seahawks would go back to their old unis.. I always liked the seahawks but due to them being in the AFC was unable to root for them. Then they went to the NFC and changed their unis..

 

I liked the ones they wore in the 80's, and the early 90's wasnt bad but there isny any thing wrong with the current uni's. Just add green socks and get rid of the green pants.

 

Green on green is lousy but white on green looks good.

 

Talking about uniforms I have a question. They sell an alternate black uniform in stores with a green sleeve and a green number. Just the body is black. I own a Curtis Martin one. Is this an official Jets uniform, I would think so since the sell it in the stores and if it is how come they never wear it. I think that uniform would be sick with black pants and a green stripe.

 

Thankfully its not an official uniform, Im not attacking you but I think those jerseys are ugly.

It's ok you are rightful to your opinion. Personally I like them. That uniform seems to have a mix vibe. Some people like them and some hates them,

 

I like them alot. They have a great 80's/ early 90's look. It be cool if they wore them for a game.

As for the green and black, the Eagles have that kind of look going someitmes and I don't know about it. I think it's a good fan jersey, but I wouldn't want to see players wear it in a game.

 

That uniform is the ugliest most vile looking piece of crap I have ever seen. If the Jets ever wore that I wouldn't watch the game.

 

Black jerseys have been an overdone trend in sports the past few years--even teams like Seton Hall and Duke in college hoops wore them, which is ridiculous. I've noticed a lot of teams now like to have an orange jersey if possible--the Dolphins, Bears, Bengals and Falcons immediately come to mind. Maybe that's the new gang thing, I don't know.

 

The Eags do a black one too. They actually have worn them a couple of games. What a disgrace.

Indeed. I may see us actually make a change when we move to our new stadium. Not sure if I want a change though....

 

Black is WAY over done these days. We're Green and White, lets stay that way.

 

Its a marketing thing...studies show that black sells, especially in urban markets...that said, those unis look to much like something philly would wear...and it is more of a teal than a real green, although I would like to see the black experimented with some more.

 

We had black as a third color from 1990-97, those were pretty black years for the franchise as it turns out. One playoff appearance, as an 8-8 #6 seed.

 

Yeah, but if the Jets were in the NFC they would've won 5 SB's over that time period.

 

While we're at it, let's move back to Shea, hire Rich Kotite as OC if Schotty Jr. flies the coop, hire Marty Glickman's son to do radio, see if one of the Gastineau girls will don the #99 for us, trade for Dan Klecko, rehire Joe Walton if Mangenius dies from eating too many doughnuts this offseason and pump some chemicals into Leon Hess so he serves as our Stalin in the lobby of the Hempstead HC.

Some things are better left to history. No new uniforms. I like the new old uniforms (sans the green on green look we tend to pull from the mothballs anytime we need to lose at home).
