How in the fuck did we get here? 7 unlikely wins followed by 6 awful consecutive losses sending the team and its fanbase home for the winter I guess. Now with the situation on the sidelines so damn bad that we're dumpster diving for OC's (casting a wide net), we dream up shit that stands no chance of happening. Someone said the Jets have the worst fanbase in football. I could counter by saying the Jet fanbase has the worst leadership in all of the NFL bar none. Our owner is an idiot. Our GM can draft, but those pieces just never seem to gel. Our HC is a player's coach and loves everyone hoping they can just get along and all will work itself out.. Does it get better than this??
People pass the time in all sorts of ways, we got here bc there’s no more Jets games to watch and we need to pass the time. As this is a Jets forum, it seems to make sense that people come here to talk about Jets related hopes, dreams, expectations and for some, it’s a whipping post. I’m one of the people who sees the Jets as having the worst fanbase. If you put a sub forum “complain about the Jets here”, it would be the most popular topic instantaneously. Owner is an idiot - no he’s not. GM can draft - yet still so many complaints HC (hoping everyone gets along) - he’s benched multiple players mid season and ousted his best friends brother post season, doesn’t really fit the narrative you paint The Jets hired the most respected QB whisperer in the sport to develop their new raw QB…. He got hit by a car and died before day 1, so now we have an undeveloped QB. Some people believe what you put out into the universe is what you get back; those people would suggest the Jets fans have such shit luck because they are such shits.
He RELUCTANTLY fired his protege who happened to be the little bro of his best friend. That had a certain stink built in. You don't really think Saleh did that without his arm getting bent backwards do you? Then again... He also allowed his defense to completely disrespect his prized QB by wearing t-shirts and chanting the name of the backup QB after his starter was benched. Where was the discipline? None on display for sure. Yes, Saleh is the player's pal. He benched Moore for calling out MLF and Mims for having the temerity to question the CS and then ask for a trade. If it wasn't for those obvious transgressions, where was Saleh the disciplinarian? Now regarding Woody Johnson. Our Owner is indeed an idiot. His little brother Christopher is the very definition of not knowing what the hell you're doing. Woody's ownership has netted us exactly what? I take that back. It did get us an basement in the mausoleum aka MetLife stadium. His decision making has been at best questionable. There's a reason why this franchise has been an ongoing joke since 2000 with perhaps a decent year or two sprinkled in all the futility. Where is the evidence that Woody has been good for this franchise? The Big AC instead of our own stadium is a great example. "He's coaching where football is headed" ring a bell?? Joe Douglas is 20-45 going into '23. Feel free to excuse his first year with Gase but overall, his record has been anything but stellar. If it wasn't for this last draft, people wouldn't be so quick to ignore his overall record of mediocrity. 20-45 shouldn't be a reason to celebrate. Nice thing is, we have the freedom to be homers if we so choose. We also have the freedom not to delude ourselves into thinking this team is something it isn't. Same goes for the FO, the CS and the Ownership. There is one thing the Jets lead the league in year after year.. That would be excuses for losing. I do give them credit for selling the future. Its perhaps the one thing this FO/CS is really good at.
This shit going down is exactly what I was afraid of when we fired MLF…not a single one of these candidates looks interesting or exciting or gives anyone any reason to believe they will be any better. not a one. We’re still looking at guys who’ve never done it before or guys who have but haven’t been very good. just such a depressing list so far
Thats what happens when you got no qb and a incompetent coach, who want's to work with Robert Saleh and zack wilson next year? That is career suicide, now if Woody fired Saleh and brought in Sean Payton, any Oc would die to come here. But this is why this organization is a joke. They keep repeating the same cycle over and over again both with Qb's and coaches hoping and wishing they finally get it right rather than hire competent people who won superbowls before and know what they are doing.

Have you considered selling PSL's to Corporate clients looking for a good tax break at JetLife stadium? You could always sell them on the future and how great the Jets will be one day. You have all the makings of a Jet PR guy. With Woody raising prices this year, it could be pretty lucrative for a loyal fan-atic looking to maintain the success of the Jets.
I couldn’t imagine doing PR. It seems like one of those professions people on the outside sees as fun and low stress. Corporate sales would be great, I’m a broker so it translates.
