There was several times today I asked myself why this moron called these plays behind the LOS that take a few seconds to develop and had no chance at all. Those plays need to be removed from the playbook forever. He had some good play calls throughout the season however the problem is he had like 3 or 4 times as many shitty, boneheaded calls. If we can find some innovative offensive mind out there I would cut bait with this guy in a heartbeat. Not impressed at all.

Breece Hall still finished as the Jets leading rusher this season and he didn't even crack over 500 yards. Let that sink in.

Who else fault could it be? He had ONE job and that was to get this offense moving. His playcalling is just awful. It takes him too long to get it going or not at all. I would reach out to Frank Reich and ask him how much would it take to get him as OC.

A tackling dummy would be an upgrade. Watching another season of this slop is unacceptable.

I would phase it another way. We are not a well coached team. There is talent but the scheme is lousy and the lack of in game adjustments are nonexistent.

I see how other offenses do when they have to play a shitty backup QB, and it looks pretty similar to what MLF's offense put up. I'd be down for Reich if he's willing to take the job, but I don't think he'll want any part of it.

That is probably true but the Jets cannot come back with LeFleur. Hopefully, he makes the decision easy for Saleh and quits.

I don't think it's coaching. the improvements on both sides of the ball you have to credit the coaching regardless of the talent. our LBs cannot stop a real running game to save their lives.

Not only was he their leading rusher, he also had the most rushing touchdowns (4). In 7 games.

Not only LaFluer, the whole offensive staff top to bottom has to go.

There have been no improvements on offense. This offense has had two passing TDs since the Bears game and they were by the guy you despise instead of the savior or Flacco. 6 games, two TDs by passing the ball, scored 3, 6, and 6 with three different QBs in last 3 games. The OC staff must go.

That's a very tempting approach because LaFleur has certainly earned a pink slip, but is it practical at this stage?

Let me play devil's advocate and ask who is going to want to come to the Jets as OC at this point?

    1. Saleh will be on the hot seat next year, so the new OC would have to look at the job as potentially only a one-year gig.

    2. The chances of a new OC turning things around quickly are questionable. We don't know who the starting QB will be. In fact, he may not even be on the current roster. The only real impact skill player on offense is Garrett Wilson. Given the severity of Breece Hall's injury, you can't expect him to be a full speed until 2024. Elijah Moore and Denzel Mims have underachieved and aren't happy, and the OL needs to be rebuilt.

When you can’t block and become one dimensional that’s what happens.

You know you're in trouble when you start thinking maybe Jeremy Bates wasn't so bad. o_O

    Oh, and LaFleur blows.

This is a terrible argument. This is the NFL with very few openings at a position like OC. There will be plenty of people willing to take this job.

    1.The O-Line should e healthier next season
    2. Garrett Wilson
    3. A chance to turn around a young talented QB (Jacksonville as a prime example)
    4. Money to bring in free agents
    5. Talented running back room with or without a rehabbed Breece Hall

We all have our opinions, but I think you're being a bit too optimistic. Of the "plenty of people willing to take this job," how many would be a marked improvement over LaFleur?

No. 3 is probably the determining factor. If an OC believes that he can turn Zach Wilson around the way Doug Pederson turned Trevor Lawrence around, then the Jets job is attractive. But I wonder how many potential OCs really feel that way?
