I would love Turner for a 3rd, but the Chargers value him too much and will demand a second rounder IMO.
I voted for a rookie HB. Turner would be my second choice, but one of the huge things that SD has that we don't is Lorenzo Neil. He is one of, if not the best run blocking FB's in the History in the NFL. With that said, I am not bashing Turner, I would just be curious too see how he plays without Neil.
Brown and Green shouldnt even be talked about and I'm not completely sold on Turner but there are a few rookie RB's that I would love to have: Marshawn Lynch Mike Bush, Mike Hart from Michigan if he comes out and mostly Adrian Peterson of Oklahoma. Peterson can fall due to his injury but he has world class talent. That said, Unless the Jets trade down I would be happy with BPA since they will be picking in the 20's and I also think that a huge DT is more important to this team than a RB.
I feel we should draft Leonard to open some holes leon, juust as he did for Ray Rice. Leon definately showed alot of promise in the Miami and New England games and i think a power speed combo of him and Leonard would be very effective.
I like Turner. Expect SD to make him a restricted free agent. If that happens I would only give up a 5/6 choice!: :jets:
It all depends on the pricing Lynch = 1st rnd Turner = 2nd rnd Portis = 2nd rnd All things being equal I go lynch first.....but logically speaking we all know he'll probably be gone before our pick.
I dunno that chris henry kid out of arizona is sounding too good to be true, third rounder, 233 lbs, and runs a 4.3. Are you fing kidding me ?
I would take Turner or a Rook. We need a featue back, and I don't want some old washed up runner. The problem with Barlow and Leon is that they're good situational backs, but not every down feature backs.
Leon will be a weapon when he comes in as a change of pace, just because of his value on the screen pass - if we had another bruiser running back, a two-back set could set the defense in a tizzy and give us invaluable options on a long drive.
