The question is does anybody in Jets management understand how badly ZW and Saleh have lost the locker room? The owners could be excused for not recognizing the fact and the likely shortfalls it will cause but for Douglas there is no excuse.
I don't trust Woody's judgment or his ability to make the right decisions, but I hope he is pissed. Continuing to tolerate the intolerable losing for over a decade should result in his being pissed. And yes, he - and his brother - bear some responsibility for this, but it can't be looked on as acceptable in any way. My best hope is that he gets in JD's face and impresses upon him the urgency of the situation and charges him with doing whatever it takes to turn it around, including replacing the CS if Douglas has a better option.
All due respect Br4d but do you have verifiable - or at least reliable - proof of that? The "locker room" tends to support whoever they think can help them win. If Zach turned his game around and led them to a winning record they'd like him just fine, same with Saleh.
This is a huge issue. Moore already set a precedent regarding bitching and requesting a trade. Sure they’re under contract and they should stfu and play, but after family the one thing you don’t mess with is a persons money and that’s exactly what they’d be doing by playing Zach and/or not signing a competent starter. If they don’t address the QB issue or at least try the whole regime will be gone next year.
