Lions need Seattle to lose, Seattle needs the Lions to lose

So what does the NFL do? Puts the Seattle-Rams game at 4 p.m. and puts the Packers-Lions game into Sunday Night Football

So now if Seattle wins, it will eliminate the Lions, the same Lions team that the Seahawks need to win to make the playoffs. The Green Bay Packers may enter the game knowing the Lions have just been eliminated. The Lions may enter the game with nothing to play for. How does this make any sense?

In 2017 the league was in similar situation where there wasn't a single game that didn't have ramifications on other games. So there was no SNF game the final week of the season:

If I am Seattle, I am irate right now and would do anything to stall the game, perhaps a power outage or have a camera wire break like it did in the meadowlands.

The league clearly wants Green Bay in, and of course it would likely setup a 49ers-Packers wildcard weekend game.

    Wow , I hadn’t heard this yet.
This is total bullshit, the league has for years talked about scheduling the last week to not allow shit like this to happen.
The only logical choice for that game is Jaguars and Titans but that does not make for good ratings in the leagues eyes.

Edit, just saw that jags game is Sat night

Final week they should just play all games at the same time. That would eliminate all this scheduling bs.

The only thing here is that the Lions seem like they’ll play hard regardless in order to knock Rodgers out.
