C. He improved as a coach and team won more... But the losing streak and how the team came to play a few times during it is totally unacceptable. I think if he keeps MLF around he started his own hot seat next year
C- I would've gone lower if there was a lower grade that wasn't the bottom - he has helped to improve the culture but we still end the year where we began with huge question marks over every aspect of the team from coaching through to the players at pretty much every position outside of about 4 or 5 players you can maybe build around - but as long as not one of those is a QB we'll never be anything other than a failed franchise
Unless the Patriots team plane gets abducted by extraterrestrials; the Jets are done. Seen some strange lights lately. You never know.
He improved, but he's still not a solid head coach as of yet. Perhaps might never be honestly. As someone mentioned Daboll in one year changed an equally crappy organization in a harder division in year one.
Big fat F for F*ck Off. Player friendly coaches suck. That’s how you get players asking to be traded during winning streaks, or players embarrassing their own teammate (e.g. players wearing Mike White shirts to mock Zach after a worthless win against the even more worthless Bears.)
Miserable pricks aren’t any better. Gase didn’t exactly light the world on fire. We need someone who can be objective, a leader, and not a complete dipshit. There aren’t many of those guys out there.
Did that team look like it came to play at any time in the second half? Lethargic on both sides of the ball. Even G. Wilson just let the guy run away from him after he was intercepted with no attempt to tie him up or chase him down. Things need to change in a big way and that has nothing to do with more slogans.
Don’t worry, looks like Woody is getting restless again. Moron is gonna do something stupid, I just know it
He is all talk but no real action, all gas no brake and we come out and give up a 60 yard run on the first play of the game, go 1-6 since the bye and probably finish out 1-7, talks about keeping receipts but dosent pull Zach in NE until its too late, dosent pull White today, has no feel for in game management or clock management and the players know he is a "players coach" so take full advantage of him and his soft approach. He's never gonna make it in NY, he's just not cut out for it IMHO, so can him and move on or else your only delaying the inevitable by 12 months
Saleh's biggest problem aside from in game screw ups is his complete lack of reprimanding players and it shows. Over the last month the team has come out flat as a tortilla. He believes they are grown men and know when they are wrong. If you let people off the hook all the time you get the same lackluster crap we witness every week.
All of this talk about having changed the culture, but has he, really? The way that he refuses to reprimand his players and then that whole thing with him allowing the players to openly mock Zach Wilson, a teammate of theirs, shows that culture isn't really something we should be praising as one of his strong suits.
I’m not happy with the staff, and this collapse. It’s fireable imo. But I agree with those above that said it would have to be because we can get Payton .
The message is real - it needs to be shouted to the masses. Somebody needs to hold feet to the fire in Florham Park; unless you're okay with the status quo, I guess.
