    Such a shame.

All that great tutoring from Joe Flacko wasted.

I asked you after last week, "what would it take?" Welcome to the club.
The only question now, is are you the last one to join us?

This is exactly what happens when you spend the 2nd overall pick on a midget QB who spent his senior year playing against high school caliber defenses in empty stadiums, then decide to mentor him with a guy who doesn’t speak, is too old and broken to play, and doesn’t care.

Aside from the disastrous QB room, the team is in fairly good shape moving forward. Many of us knew this before the year even began, if we were being honest with ourselves.

    Good night.

I always thought he'd be a best, but I never thought we'd be looking at something in the Ryan Leaf / Jamarcus Russell territory. Yet, here we are.

Now the focus needs to shift on trying to figure out just who is going to QB this team next year.

Not according to his presser. Much the opposite actually.

For me personally I'm not even sure I put him that high. I was a skeptic from the beginning and I'm frankly not shocked he didn't work out that well. I didn't think he'd do this badly but I didn't think he'd be "that" much better than Sam was who was already on the payroll.

As far as atrocious deployment of draft capital though? Off the god damn chart. You had three clear choices, Sewell or Pitts who are fantastic players, or trade the pick for "the haul" And we somehow ended up with what looks like the neighbor's kid you hire to mow your lawn.

If we had just traded the number twi pick we could have filled si many holes.

We still could have gotten Mike White in free agency but with a mich better roster.

Streveler is at best a backup, a spark when the starter goes down. Unfortunately I think that describes our whole QB room.

The Jets all time bust list?

Surely under Lam Jones and Blair Fucking Thomas.

Maybe also under that DT that we either traded up for or just took really high…that kid never really did shit.

I wonder if Saleh still thinks we have 3 legit starters in our QB room

Wilson is a bigger bust because he is a quarterback. They are bigger and more impactful in every way.

The only reason he isn't a bigger bust than Russell is JaMarcus was taken #1 overall and was given an ungodly amount of money because if it.

Sanchez and Darnold are pro bowlers by comparison.

I agree. The defense is kinda overrated as teams move the ball up and down at will. Today the defense looked like the defense from last year.. I think we just should resign Mike and just see what he can do if he can stay upright. As for Wilson, he just looks like a deer in headlights. The kid is only 21 or so so maybe he can mature in a few years. Anyone who think the ZW can be fixed in a year is delusional I think White is still young enough where he can grow with the young receivers and won't cost the Jets a fortune.

With all time that Douglas and all his scouts had to study Zach Wilson before the draft, couldn't just ONE person have reviewed his (piss poor) level of competition in college, instead of focusing so much on a pro day afternoon where he threw
with ZERO defenders on the field?????????????????????

Conservatively, at this point Zach looks like a top 5 all time QB bust without even a question. Whether is #1 worst or #5, who cares. It’s bad.

Seems like every time we draft a QB in the first round, I spend 2-3 years scratching my head wondering how it is possible to throw for that few yards.

    NO MORE FIRST ROUND QUARTERBACKS.

    EVER.
