“I thought about that all year,” he said. “Like man, will I be able to make it through another one of these camps? I guess we’ll see.”

There is part of it.. the other part was about it not being worth it without a superbowl win

I am sorry but this may not pertain to all of you here but I am pretty sure it pertains to 75%. I am positive that if this was Owens or Moss saying this then it would be clearly pointed out that he is a prick or cancer and doesnt give his all.

Owens personally has played through multiple injuries and has given it 100% on the field every single play. Moss has taken plays off in the past but he is a more mature player and wants to play for a coach like Mangini and a QB like Pennington.

Coles is beginning to become a problem and this off-season you will hear a lot of grumblings out of his mouth. I love Coles as a player but he was also involved with FSU and Warrick back in the day. He wasnt the classiest player coming into the NFL, he just kept quiet.

Now he is beginning to question everything and is the only player really questioning it. Owens, Moss, and Coles are all the same player. He is just being defended for being on the Jets. He left for the money years ago and realized how bad it was there. Now he is back and complaining about other things.

Dont be soo hypocritical of Moss and Owens if your gonna defend Coles. Coles is a player that I do enjoy on this team dont get me wrong. The problem is the green is filling up your glasses.

I think you are forgetting one thing in your analysis of these WR's. If you have watched TO and Moss play this year they continually drop balls. Every time they are needed to come up with a big catch the ball slips out of their hands. Coles just simply doesn't drop the ball. He makes more difficult catches over the middle than Moss or Owens had to make all year and he actually makes them. Look at the amount of drops from Owens this year and compare it too Coles. If that number is anywhere close I would be very surprised.

Also, you can't compare Coles and Owen's actions. Owens and Moss show up their QB on the field which Coles never does. He never shows up Pennington when he doesn't get the ball. Owens also is a cancer who makes comments after every game just to get attention. I know Coles has somewhat of a rocky past but he made one comment after a great season and I am willing to forgive him for that. I am not however ready to compare players who are so different on the field and in the locker room.

Between the lines, Coles gives maximum effort and is as tough as they come. That is why he gets a pass from most of Jets nation and the media. Obviously, nothing he has done/said has been an issue with the team as he was named MVP. However, his comments and actions off the field really are disappointing

As far as Owens never taking a play off, I find it amazing that no one remembers the play in the Super Bowl where he ran out 10 yards on his route, and just stopped. Even the man covering him just looked around like he couldn't understand what was going on.

But why muddle arguments with facts?

I was not compairing the ability to catch the ball at all. Coles has dropped balls from time to time but not as much as Owens has your right. Moss never had a problem holding onto the ball until this year but he wasnt giving it his all and I dont blame him, Oakland is just awful.

Truthfully, this is not the first time Coles has said anything directed towards Mangini. It has been very low key all season since we have been winning. I am sure if we had a losing season similar to Oakland or how Dallas' season went towards the end of the year, things could be different.

Keep an eye out on this situation in the off-season, once Jerricho gets his extension then Coles eyes are gonna light up green and might become a big problem. Chad can keep him under control but Coles is gonna feel his greed like he did when he fleeced the Jets for more money. I do not hate him for the move, I understand it but just be aware.

Coles has been a great player on the field and Moss has done the same exact thing and has been extremely mature as the years have passed. I give Moss a bye this year because anyone on that Oakland team cant be judged. That was the worst I have ever seen from top to bottom.

I will tell you one thing, Moss would not be as big of a problem as people think. Coles on the other hand can turn into a problem if the situation isnt handled right. I dont want to see Coles gone but im worried things might turn for the worst.

    Just my two cents.

I'm still of the mind that Philly beats NE if Owens doesn't play, But I've argued that to death.

Thats like saying you never did anything wrong at your job on purpose. We are all guilty, cant really judge a person off one play.

i would give cole a pass. He took a lot of hits and plays 100% every game. That being said, he has always been vocal about the difficult training camp of mangini.

Well a point of coniseration is, if he doesn't wanna be here on an uprising team then trade his ass for a different #1 WR...he's not THAT amazing anyway

Who do you recommend, we might be able to get an older number 1. Maybe Keenan mccardell, or joey galloway, issac bruce.

Those are the only guys we can get for coles. SOrry.

I think that's pretty harsh when you consider that Owens has been playing all year with one of his fingers literally hanging off.

a lot of those layouts are on tthe QB-who hangs receivers out to dry with his soft tosses. remember what ken o'brien did to al toon with his late deliveries.

Coles has been a loudmouth all year long, his commetns yesterday worry me but in the end it will be fine. In year 2 I wouldn't expect Mangini to be quite as tough in TC as he was last year, as a 1st time HC he had to come in and lay down the law but they know he's the sherrif now so he won't have to be as tough- he'll still be tough but I think he'll tone it down a bit.

Coles had the BEST SEASON of his NFL career..That dude justs complains to complain..The great thing is when some of these guys go to other teams and see how unprepared they are for some things there going to wish they had Mangini coaching them..These guys want to win and it takes alot of work to get there..With Mangini you are Down with it... or your gone!!

The only reason it was close was b/c of Owens.
