You have people comparing him to Wilson ever since White took over. Lot of haters I guess

Against a shitty bears defense that was falling all over themselves. This is why you don’t extrapolate above one or two games. Extrapolate over MN and Buffalo and he looks like crap stat wise. One of his TD passes was literally when the only guy who will be in the NFL in the Bears secondary tore his Achilles and Wilson scored. Not even sure that pass gets completed if he doesn’t go down, the guy dropped an int earlier. The bears game had 12 completions with defenders no closer than five yards rom receiver. That was like double any other NFL game at that point.

Just win games. I didn’t care how many yards Wilson was throwing for as long as Jets won, don’t care about Whites yards. Allen had what, less than 150. He won the game, White lost the game. End of story.

Zach’s legs have made a difference in games. He was good in Bills win. Shitty, bad in Pats loss. Has been mentally immature and impatient. But his legs and escapability help in games especially with a bad line. The line has not been good all season, MLF has not been good all season. All of a sudden you all realize these are problems. Been this way all season. Zach has a long way to go. Not anywhere where he needs to be for Jets long term but he has the talent to be the guy. I just don’t see it in MW. I am sure he would be fine with a very solid oline. Jets don’t have that.

I'm not on the Mike White after this season bandwagon yet, but he's literally produced as a quarterback way better then Wilson with literally every excuse you made for Wilson. Except running. You're ignoring about a handful of other stats/traits of quarterbacks to say Wilson is better right now.

You're trying way too hard, but let's get this over with.

Yes, Zach is way more mobile than white.

I honestly don’t care. Thought we might have something after bears game. Concerned after Vikings and more concerned after Bills. Currently out of playoffs. I am sick of watching them lose. I did feel like they kind of scapegoated Zach to a degree. I think it was mostly due to the press conference. The line was hot garbage against the Pats, Herbig was out, Mims dropped a slant early, Zach led team in rushing, played like shit and couldn’t complete a pass. I felt like anyone could play well against the Bears and still do. The defenses in the 7 game stretch were brutal. They are much easier now.

He played well against the Bills and picked up several third downs with his legs. He is not Allen, but it was a a similar game as compared to the first one.

We will see. I will be pissed if we miss playoffs.

We beat Buffalo at home because Josh Allen got hurt. Wilson was not disastrous in that game, but you can’t consistently win in the NFL when your Qb throws 4 tds, 1 rushing td and 5 picks in 7 games and also only throws over 250 yards in 2 games.

    This is not 1920’s NFL.

Mike White has shown an ability to move the chains (317 yards/game). We need more points in the red zone.

I’d sooner believe that could happen vs Wilson magically throwing for over 60% and 300 yards/game.

And go back and watch the Buffalo game, White was under duress all game. Every throw he’s getting hit. The line played the same as always… shitty.

I like Mike White. I want to win though. An odd comment, but I would rather lose with Zach Wilson than Mike White. Losing with Mike White is painful and I don't see much benefit. Losing with Zach you know he is gaining experience and the team learns if he has the ability or not. Losing with Mike White just seems like a waste of everyone's time.

If the Jets win, I don't think anyone would complain with Mike White at QB. If they lose (like the last 2 weeks) it does make me question the Coach's decision.

As for which QB gives the Jets the best chance to win, I think it is more of a toss up than people realize. They both have Pro's and Cons to their games.

Seems like many people act like the option is Mike White vs the Bears or Zach Wilson vs the Patriots Part II. Neither are really true examples of their overall play or how they would play against the Lions.

As for Mike White's 3 games so far: he has been good. Obviously great in the Bears game. Solid in the Vikings game, and if he could just finish a couple drives with touchdowns, that would have been a great performance too. Finally the Bills game was tough conditions and he got nailed a few times and kept fighting. It was a respectable performance.

If this was a normal QB battle or situation, then Mike White should have not worries about his starting job. He has done enough. It's not normal though, so he has to play great to keep it. And if not great, at least win the game.

He passed for 150 yards against a Bills team that was missing 4 of their 5 best players. They are clearly a much better D with White, Milano, Poyer, and Rousseau back. If MW had 2 Josh Allen INTs and 5 sacks vs a game 1 Bills depleted OLine, I’m sure he would of came out victorious as well. Zach was very fortunate to not be in a situation with a fully healthy Bills D on the road wit those weather conditions.

This is just revisionist history. Wilson did exactly what the CS asked him to do. He did it well, he ran for a couple key first downs to keep scoring drives alive. What else did you want him to do? That was the game plan and he did it. He was 18/25, rating 101, QBR 78. Everyone except Jets fans believe the QB did exactly what he needed to do to win the game. And we won. CS wants to lean on D.

I would say that MLF is an idiot for not getting under center and running the ball more in those type of conditions. I don’t think MW played bad, Dark Knight just said exactly what I feel. Losing with Mike White gets the team no closer to playoffs and SB this year or the future. Everyone knows his physical talents, this is his ceiling. A lesser talented Kirk Cousins.

The jets will not consistently win with QB throwing over 300 yards with this Oline. I don’t care what
Year it is or isn’t. The offensive line is too bad for this. You simply cannot drop back that many times and not have bad plays happen. Against good teams, you get what you saw Sunday. Pressure and QB taking shots or scrambling out. And when you have a OC who loves empty backfield, you are going to have free runners at QB. We have seen it all year. The line played one of their decent games against Buffalo which is well below NFL standards. Probably their worst against Pats round 2.

I think you're overlooking the lack of experience MW has had--in fact, he's far less experienced in game situations so not sure how you rationalize that. Every game MW plays will return at least the incremental benefit ZW seems to gain each game, which hasn't been much. The turning around scramble thing maybe he's learned not to do but everything else hasn't seemed to improve.

It is not fantasy football, it is key first downs to keep drives alive. Pats 2 game was abysmal. He was leading rusher on Jets that day. Do you think line played well without Mitchell, Fant, and Herbig? Worst performance of the year.

Oh you want to talk first downs? I agree they are important. Wilson picked up way less first downs than White. (13.5 per game for Wilson, 21 for White)

Geez dude--now you're ignoring how much quicker MW gets rid of the ball? It's been measured unambiguously--you're acting like a Swiftie for Zach at this point.
