you really want to talk about Eli's picks? he had 18 this year. atleast 8 were off of tips and others are from his recievers not trying. so you can bring those like 10 picks down to 8.

he is a good passer just needs better coaching and a better D. its hard to win when you have to take away your best player in Tiki and have to throw the whole time, which teams know you're gonna do

Not really. He's strictly a Parcells minion. Whomever Parcells coaches is the team that Mike roots for. That happens to be Dallas right now - although he does seem to be positioning himself as a Mangini minion since Old Bill's coaching days are numbered.

Pretty obvious to see that. Giants have troubles.

Lobbing up balls to Plaxico all drive long isn't that big of a deal, IMO.

Eli will be a team leader with time but he isnt going to be one for 3 more years thats for sure but a difference that you can see from his brother is that Peyton after he makes mistakes you can see him in the sidelines looking at the plays he can do and what the opponents defense brings to the field but you can see Eli doing nothing of that and thats not a good sign but I think that with time he will get better.

Also he needs to step up and tell to his receivers Shockey and Plax to shut the f*** up and play, control his offensive line, and be more of an in the field coach and be a little bit tough on his players.

The problem with Eli is that he needs to have a completely good game all the way. As soon as Eli starts making bad decisions he can't rebound, because he gets that stupid puss on his face, and starts throwing erratically.

And regardless if passes are tipped, that's part of decision making. If you throw behind a receiver, but he tips it up, that's still a horrible throw, regardless that it was tipped up.

A lot of Chad's interceptions game off tips, but you can't excuse it. That's what happens when quarterbacks can't effectively slide and find the passing lanes. It doesn't excuse his bad play.

I would like to take his arm strength and attach it to Chad somehow like Frankenstein. It's alive!

To me Pennington has everthing you need but a strong arm.

Maybe you can rationalize a couple or few interceptions but 10? That seems like giving Eli a little more credit than he deserves. It sounds like you are saying that over half of his picks don't count. WTF?

No amount of coaching can make Eli Manning something he isn't. I'm not talking about throwing talent, I'm talking about his basic personality. Eli is obviously an introvert. He doesn't say much and when he does, it's totally devoid of enthusiasm or passion. He rarely elicits conversation and reluctantly engages in it only if he has to. Even then, he's quick to end the conversation. He is borderline shy.

Yesterday, on camera, Shockey walked up to him and began talking and gesturing, as if to give him some useful information about what was going on beyond the line of scrimmage. Eli sort of nodded and walked away while Shockey was still talking to him, leaving Shockey with a strange look on his face, like "WTF?" If the guy can't even converse with his teamates in the heat of battle, he'll never be able to lead.

I'm not knocking the kid for this type of personality and it certainly isn't his fault because there are many people out there who are the same, but he'll never be a leader. Mind you, leadership is something that can be taught, but it takes time and it's certainly easier if the student learning it has an "A-type" personality to begin with. At this stage of Eli's life, and with his shy personality, it's already becoming too late to instill great leadership. He either has it or he doesn't and my guess is he doesn't. World of difference between him and Chad.

Exactly. I see this Gibril clown saying the Jets should trade for Wilson and then in that thread he mentions what the Giants need?

Who the hell cares? Since when did the Jets forum become some Giants discussion for you? At least LTS has some sort of respect not to talk Giants needs in the JETS FORUM.

I really believe that he can be good but you are right this kid has no leadership whatsoever and that is what is going to kill him through the years but the real problem is that he needs to stop being "the kid" or "Peyton's Little Brother" and become a "Man" you are in the NFL, "wake up" darn it, Dot.

As talking about Chad, his heart is one of the biggest in the league and thats why he made it back, give him a monster running game and he will do better than he did this season (and better than most guys around) and he is definitely going to be more agressive and then everyone will see. Double dot.

Some times I wonder how can you play with a lot of confidence when in first down you run the ball get 2 yards, on 2nd run again and get nothing then you face like 3rd and 8 when all you want is to run the clock and everyone knows that if you run it again you will easily hand the ball back to the opposition so the only chance is to pass or do a trick run play to get the first and keep the drive alive, most QB's would quit on that and Chad never did, he stayed still and fought hard through it. Triple dot..

Francesa, right NOW, likes whoever Parcells is coaching. BUT it sounds to me like he really likes Mangini, as a coach and a PERSON.

I bet you every time a QB throws the ball and hit the receiver he's ACCURATE and every time he throws one HIGH or BEHIND a receiver he's inaccurate :)

Problem is, Eli is a 50% thrower, and that doesn't work in today's NFL.

He doesn't bash the Jets. I don't know where some of you come up with this. Francesa rooted for the Jets all season. He praised the Jets all season. Just because the guy was REALISTIC when the Jets played New England doesn't make him bashing them. He said New England would win, that they have better players. That's not bashing, that's being realistic.

Now let's see what he REALLY SAYS about the Jets:

    1) That if he had a choice of any coach in the league, that will still be a head coach in 5 years, after Belichick he's choose MANGINI. That's a major compliment.

    2) That the Jets are gonna be great in the future. That Tannenbaum is the King of the Cap and that Mangini is the goods. THAT'S A MAJOR COMPLIEMENT.

    3) Compliments Pennington left and right. Only thing he questions is that he's sure the Jets could mirror what New England has done at every position but not sure about QB. That's fair and a major compliment.

    4) That the Jets hit a HOMERUN hiring Mangini. THAT'S A MAJOR COMPLIMENT.

    5) That the Jets hit a HOMERUN THIS PAST DRAFT. That's a major Compliment.

So I have no idea where some of you get this Francesa bashing the Jets stuff. He likes the Jets and has supported them all season.
