If we’re also going the draft route, we should take a look at Hendon Hooker. He unfortunately tore his ACL this weekend. He might be there in the 2nd round now.
Guys, our cap is pretty limited next year before we have to pay Q the big bucks. Where are we going to get 35 million to pay Carr? We are also probably losing several starting O linemen and D linemen, potentially all of our LBs, etc. Were going to need money next year and, unlike the last 3 years, the cap is trending against us this offseason. We cant afford an expensive stop gap QB. Period, end of story. Dream on.
The only solution is to sign a JAG, or throw more darts at the draft - just not in the first round. It doesn't matter how much we want Carr. Its not a reasonable solution.
Time for our Vets to help out by rstructuring their deals and working with Douglas if it means getting a Championship which we are poised to do Zach can skip by for some more games maybe.(Chicago?).but who in the world can see Wilson leading us on a playoff run against elite competition ...he beat Rogers and Josh Allen once If he can outperform the Bills again or Cousins , Tua or even Goff that's saying something So let's see what happens

No one is taking Carr at $35 million. They are going to cut him to save $110 million and then you would resign him at a reasonable number.
The Jets are not going the draft route. The rebuild is finished. They just needed a half-way competent quarterback. They might use a late pick on a qb for giggles. But, they desperately need someone to complete passes not bounce them in the turf.
Jets have proven they can't evaluate qb's so stop wasting draft picks on them, we also don't have time to let a qb develop, with a above average qb and 1 more good lineman Jets are a superbowl contender next year. What do you think Zack Wilson will net in the offseason? If we can get a 2nd for him good riddance.
I get that but Hooker is going to be out for next season anyway because of his injury. A vet would be starting next year. Hooker is also on the older side so we could probably get him in the 2nd or 3rd round.
Only Carr's $17.4 million base salary and $7.5 million signing bonus were guaranteed. So good chance Douglas can work some magic and bring Carr to Gang Green.
If Zach keeps playing like this, they won't get a 2nd round pick for him. Then again, JD has worked trade miracles before, so you never know.
