I would take Clinton Portis with our 1st. But this will not happen. They will want our 1st and maybe both our 2nd's.
I also heard that want Vilma, which isn't happening.

 

I mentioned Turner and I think he is worth discussing. Brian Schottenheimer has been rumored to wanting to go after this guy. He is big, fast, strong and runs REALLY hard.

 

:smile: Green is a good runner, but to me, in the zone-blocking schemes, something the Jets do not run much anymore. They ran plenty of it with Mawae. But right now it looks like the Jets are switching to a man-on-man/power OLine and I'm not sure if Green is the right guy for that.

Brown, I'm not even going to get into anymore. He's not that good.

You should probably stick to one opinion.

 

we will see how he bounces back. im not saying he's barlow-like washed up. but he's definitely not the back he was 3-4 years ago

 

i would take him for a 2nd round pick but thats definitely not going to happen and therefore "the hell with portis"

 

I wouldn't say he's washed up but this year he seemed more brittle than my grandmothers hips

 

Turner would be a great fit for the Jets. Hopefully they can work out a reasonable trade with SD, otherwise he will likely cost at least 1st rder

 

Trading with San Diego never works. They hosed Atlanta, getting LT and I forgot who else for Vick, and then they went and hosed the Giants getting Philip Rivers and Shawn Merriman for Eli Manning. Whatever San Diego wants to trade, we should just tell them no, ask them who they were going to pick with that pick, and then just draft them ourselves.
