Reading the posts in alot of these threads, i'm actually sickenned by some of the responses. People saying, "i'm sick of the Jets losing in the playoffs." People putting Chad down. It's garbage. The fact of the matter is the Jets OVERACHEIVED THIS SEASON just making the playoffs. Chad was great today, he wasn't the problem at all. The Jets lost today because the Patriots are a Championship calibar team, with Championship players. Their front seven is the best in the NFL and blows the Jets front 7 away. Samuel is better then anyone the Jets have in the secondary. Brady is better then Pennington. Maroney and Dillion is a better backfield then Washington (who I love) and Houston. Watson and Graham is better then Baker (who played great today). The Jet WR's get the nod, that's the only Jet edge. The Jets season is a tremendous success. Enjoy what was accomplished instead of being disillusioned that somehow the Jets personnel matches up with the Patriots personnel, cause it doesn't. That doesn't mean that can't change next season. And don't be sick of the Jets losing in the playoffs. Cause making the playoffs was a big deal.

Finally a Jets fan who makes sense. You should be thrilled with your season. Did you really expect to beat the Patriots twice in a row??? In Gillette both times???

i agree we got beat by a BETTER team.....you can never feel bad about that......now getting beat like that cleveland game is another story. Pats dominated us ,it just took the 2nd half for the scoreboard to reflect it.

to go from last year to this was incredible...gotta put things in perspective...MANGENIOUS!

Agreed, it was a great season! Quit complaining, things are looking up!

And I would rather get beat soundly than misplace the game winning field goal. Another positive note, we don't have Eli Manning!

When was the last time the Patriots got called for offensive holding?

That holding call on McCareins (and I hate McCareins) was total BULLS-IT. Cost us a first down in NE territory and was an absolute momentum killer, nullified one of our best runs of the game.

I agree with that.. at least we don't have to go through the offseason and rest of the postseason thinkin that we gave up Phillip Rivers and Shawn Merriman for a player that can hardly play

And the Chargers have better players than New England.

LT will run wild. I hope he scores 15 Touchdowns next Sunday. Going to a sports bar here in San Diego to join the celebration after the Patriots get waxed.

Chargers may have better players, but Patriots does not have the Choker-of-the-century coach that SD has. (Read: Marty Schottenheimer) This alone can tilt the scale in favor of Patriots. (Read: Elway - Broncos choke alert)

In today's game, this Patriots team looked solid in all three phases of the game - kudos for them.

In the meanwhile, Jets weren't too shabby either. I'd say the Patriots are within grasp by 2 offseasons.

Martyball won't be a factor next Sunday.

The game won't be close enough for his conservatism to kill the team.

That holding call was within the realm man as much as I hate to admit it. From what I saw, his hand was on the outside of his shoulder. Yeah it was ticki tacki but if his hand is on the inside...........no call.

random note: how is it that Brad Smith didn't throw a single pass all year?

Schotty jr. always uses him as a decoy. It's vexing.

Good post. The Patriots do have a better team across the board but we have a coach that can go move for move with him and Gm that will get the players in to compete. This season was far more than anyone on this board could have expected.

They may have better players, but I wouldn't trade our "team" for any other.

I agree through and through. I have been posting all over this site that Jets fans need to be patient, give Tangini another year to get the correct personel in here to run their schems, that goes for Schotty too. Chad played well yesterday, he is not the problem at all. He actually played very well considering the Pats did not respect the run game AT ALL and played the pass and stuffed the run with their front seven every time. He put up some good #'s against a solid D.

The Patriots built their "dynasty" on a bullshit gift call. They NEVER get holding calls on offense. It's bullshit, the rest of the NFL fans know it,except for you guys. I'm not in anyway saying the refs won you the game yesterday, your team did. But the refs have won some important ones for you in the recent past.

Brady is better than Pennington (he's better than almost every qb in the league), and the Pats have a better front 7. Other than that, in my opinion, it's a wash.

But really, that's all you need to win against the Jets.

I certainly know....year in and year out they ALWAYS have a crazy call or 2 that goes in there favor and messes up the other team momentum....its crazy. Its like its rigged for them or something.....I'm not using the refs as scapegoats....but if u watch enough of their games u'll see....its horrible!!!!
