Here are 2 questions we can discuss about, and hopefully it works well. 1- Assuming that list for the Jets is accurate, who do you want the Jets to resign? For how long? 2- Based on the whole NFL Free Agents List for this off-season, who do you want the Jets to sign, and for how long?
cotchery is NOT a FA, he has one more year left. the rest of them aren't a big deal. I'd like to bring back moore and ball though, and maybe hodgins.
I think we really need to bring back Clement. He was solid for us all season and rarely made a mistake. I think we should keep the OL together as much as we can.
^ I could have sworn Cotcherys contract was up this season. Anyway, here are my answers. 1)If Cotchery is a Free Agent, then we definitely need to re-sign him. I'd say for about 2 more seasons. I would re-sign Poteat to a small contract for 1 year. Hodgins, Moore, Clement, and Smith I would re-sign for the next season as well. Not sure about the rest at the moment. 2)All I can think of at the moment is sign Asante Samuel. He's had a great season, and we know he would probably sign with the Jets, since he knows and likes Mangini. When more names come to mind, I'll make another post.
none of these guys can make or break our franchise with a departure, and therefore, i dont care who we lose. we need to sign asante samuel and adalius thomas pronto!
We need a player like this. He can change the game at anytime. Thomas, Vilma, and Briggs would be sick ( HOBSON ). I'm guessing there going to keep Keith Traylor, hopefully they let go Holliday and we pick up. He's a vet and he only could help us if we pick him up. Picking up one of them would help us big time. Womack is still preety young and is one of the best offensive guards in the league. Eric Steinbach is very young and talented. He can easily be out guard for the next 10 years. But Briggs is the guy I want the most this offseason.
After all the controversy in the media before the Dolphins/Jets game, with Coles Vs. Holliday, we're not picking him up if our 35 million dollar receiver doesn't like him. Ask Seahawks fans.. Atleast last year they crucified him. Steinbach would be a good pickup, as would Briggs, though.
I guess I forgot about that, but we need a DT/DE who can put pressure on some QB's. There really isn't any DT/DE in free agency that can change our defensive line.
Sean Ryan needs to be back, the run game was much better when he was on the field. Wade Smith, Clement, and Spencer should be resigned.
i dont think cotchery is a free agent but if he is re sign him.. cody spencer has been getting tackles left and right for the ST's everyone else i think is expendable.
The Jets were extremely lucky this year in not catching the injury bug. Even though I'd like them to sign a T or draft one, I'd like them to re-sign Clement, if for nothing else than depth. Poteat, Hodgins, and Ryan are names I would like to see back too...
