chads ball hangs up there forever, and everyone raves how brady has a rocket arm.

Chad is awesome, but in schotty's offense its hard for him to fire bombs

No. Chads the man, get over it. The back up is always the most popular guy. Chad can get it done.

    I kind of want Clemens.

    He is a traitor though.

Saying he is going to retire, then goes to the Astros.

    Oh well, I forgive him.

He will help the Yankees rotation for sure. :)

I can see a Romo vs. Bledsoe type controversy next season between Chad and Clemens. Myself, I would love to see Celemens win the job. I just don't see the Jets ever becoming a great team under Pennington. 9-10 win seasons are nice but I would like to see the Jets contend for a championship. Something that they haven't been able to do since '98 under Vinny.

Yes, so of course you choose to turn the team over to a 23-year-old signalcaller with no regular season experience. Quality planning.

What has Pennington done to convince you that he should be handed the starter's role on a silver platter? There is a player by the name of Tom Brady (you may have heard of him) that did OK as a starter in his 2nd season.

brady was a fluke. he should not be compared to any teams backup in this type of situation.

    Let's see:
2002: turned a 1-4 team into a division champion and led the Jets to a 41-0 playoff win over the Colts
2004: Beat the 12-4 Chargers on the road with a torn rotator cuff
2006: In a year we were supposed to win 5 games, with no running game, a defense that couldn't stop the run, new systems on both sides of the ball, and while coming off 2 straight shoulder surgeries he led the team to a 10 win season and the playoffs.

What the Jets really need is better offensive line players and play. The o-line got manhandled today... badly. Ferguson got totally owned, as did the rest of the line. Jets need to draft a LG, RG, and RT... and a blocking FB too.

And without balls you'd be a girl. This YAC argument is ridiculous. I guess Montana was the most overrated QB in history when you subract all the YACs he got on those slants from Rice and Taylor.

I don't think Chad has next year locked up. I think he will have to win it just like he did this year. But Chad played well today. Our defense just sucked.

ditto, i agree. Chad doesnt have the zip to get it in the end zone. And he cant throw the go route very well.

Bottom line is the best QB will start next year. If it's Chad, then don't be upset, because it means Clemens is simply not there yet. Chad was not handed the job this season so he went out and won it handily in camp. If Clemens beats him out next year I would be thrilled, not because I don't like Chad, but because it would mean Clemens made a monumental leap in his development seeing as how he wasn't even realistically in the running for a starting job this year. In the end, the situation will sort itself out to the betterment of the team.

Scouting report. he was cosidered a top rated passer who got hurt (broke his ankle). As for your comment about young QB loosing part of the playbook, we do it with Chad all the time cause he cant throw the go route. Look, I like Chad, he does all the things he suppose to but IMO he just doesnt have the physical skills to take us to SB. Today was an example where brady could get throws into the zone whre Chad couldnt.
