I was thinking about saying this last week, but I didn't want to bring bad luck to Breece. The Jets 2nd round curse continues. Mims really didn't work out. Last week Elijah Moore imploded. This week Breece was seriously injured.

He looked like LeVeon Bell to me. To same size, great hands, speed. Running style a little different, but that's who he reminded of early on.

What a shame. He was absolutely electric and an elite game breaker.

The Jets have to seriously consider trading for a playmaking RB. Zach is not ready to carry this team through the air.

Seriously, we need the ground and pound for this team to keep the wins going. Any workhorses out there that can help would be key

Yes, Bell is the closer comp in recent RBs. Cmart was smart and dogged, but didn't possess that extra gear that Breece has. I hope he comes back 100%.

If this doesn't prove the "home refs" aspect of the game, nothing does.

But that "missed" call was SO egregious, I wonder if the league contacted them at the half and said, "You guys need to knock off the blatant homerism", and as a result some of the non-calls at the end of the game that I was SURE would be called PI against the Jets weren't called.

Regardless, those refs need to be sanctioned in some way.

I can't say the refs were corrupt when they gave us the fumble six and Sauce was holding people all day long.

I’m sure JD is compiling a list right now of available RBs and doing his due diligence. Bam Knight will get the first opportunity I’m sure but look for them to bring somebody in from the outside …. But not fork over any high draft picks of course.

Yeah after what I've seen from him so far I'm not willing to even consider thinking about betting against this kid.

Me, I want JD to keep the draft picks, & see what Zonovan Knight brings to the team. He looked decent in TC, & it's up to MLF to start gameplanning like an NFL OC, & use all his playmakers. I just don't wanna be trading picks yet. JD has done a great job transforming this team, by addition. That said, I've heard they're exploring different options. Lastly, as great an athlete & talent Breece is, he seems to be a special human being too. What great character he's shown before, & especially since his injury.

That's a bit too conspiracy-ish for me... I just think the reffing sucks in general.
The ref was standing about 12 feet from the Breece tackle... staring right at it.

And like @ouchy pointed out above... they were generous with that Zach fumble swat.
That could have been a game changer.

We had 11 penalties for 85 yards... Broncos had 4 for 34... which may look a bit biased in their favor.
Either way... we were sloppy and shot ourselves in the foot a few times on good drives.

I did see a clip that looked like a ref getting an autograph from Mike Evans in the tunnel after the Bucs game... which was strange.

Dude - this is a game that you just watch, it's not your life that may be changing here. Perspective man, perspective.

Yeah, this is really bad. There is a high probability of reoccurrence also. Barkley had ankle problem last year too, so that slowed him down some, but still, it's probably likely that Breece won't realize his full potential until year 3. And even then the re-injury probability is much higher. It looked like we hit a home run with him for a while, but ... Tough break for Breece and the team.

Ugh, ugh, ugh, I just heard. I hate to say it, but I do not have a good feeling about the rest of the year. It was fun while it lasted. Get well soon, Breece.

Am I the only one who actually gets angry about these things? I don't mean something brain dead like it's his fault or something idiotic like that, I'm just really mad right now. Is that OK?

I think there is a 50 year build up of frustration as to why can't e have nice things too? Why can't we have one day in the sun. Remember the injuries in 86 that derailed our 10-1 team. We never seems to catch a break. Finally things seem different. We have the FO, the CS and the players all performing at a high level and bam half the team gets wiped out by injuries. Come on. Anyone but Breece and AVT. So many fluke injuries. It is hard not to be angry. Suddenly it was ok to believe again and to have hope and Lucy just pulls the F-ing football. I didn't even know Lucy was there and never saw it coming.
