Agree with you 100%. This Yankees team is a complete embarrassment. They don't hold a candle to those great 90's teams. So many clutch hitters back them, a stacked bullpen. Judge carried the team for much of the season but just sputters in October. I think Hal is content selling merchandise and beer. Thought the Yanks would scrape out a couple of wins. Just brutal.
Had a family party this evening and couldn't watch, seems like it was a good timing What's concerning is the high probability of running the same team out pretty much next year
If Hal thinks he can let Judge walk after losing the ALCS and sign a couple second-tier free agents as stopgaps to try to keep the team in wild-card contention, I'll be done as a Yankees fan after 20 years of rooting for them. This isn't like the NFL where the teams are all on a level playing field; the Yankees have a massive advantage over the other teams, and Hal refuses to exploit it because the only thing he likes is money.
I'm actually happy I missed tonight because of the outcome being so obvious. Cole: strike outs and home runs Offense: strike outs and no runs, and one hit as a bonus. I'm going to hard pass on the last game of the year, not worth it with this team. They are brutal to watch. Punched above their weight over half the season and it got them the division. And again, whoever is the final decision maker for their lineups has to go. They don't make any fucking sense. You can tell they don't even have confidence in what they write in, they change it everyday. Look at their lineup tonight, it's as if it was designed to prevent rallies. They put a struggling hitter batting .170 in between hitters batting .100 or less
I turned it off and I’m not watching tomorrow. I can’t stand Boone. Didn’t understand the hire then, and never will. I still can’t understand why they have the same exact problem every post season. Cant hit a beach ball. I still see smiles in the Yankees dugout. Something very wrong there.
I can't really blame Boone, unless he makes the lineup. This team is all cashman. It's constructed like garbage, his FA acquisitions have not been great, his trades are hit and miss, more miss but we get the hits shoved down our throats. But the biggest problem is his refusal to accept he made a bad pickup. We trotted Hicks and Galo out months longer than necessary, he held onto Torres way too long, but I will say he's increased his value and still want him to be traded, he fucking told us how Donaldson had great metrics to ignore the fact he's awful. Montas on the roster in the ALCS, really? To me that screams cashman saying I brought this guy in to face Houston he's on the roster. I really think he impacts the lineup decisions. It's time for a new GM.
