It's a designed comeback route and Zach throws it as soon as Elijah makes his break at the top of his route. Could he have thrown the ball half a second sooner? Sure. Could Elijah have been more aware of where his feet were and made a difficult catch on the sideline? Also sure. I don't see this play as some sort of big negative for Zach or Elijah but that's just my 2 cents. EDIT: Also, 15 yard play?? Zach threw the ball from the 5-6 yard line and Elijah tried to catch it at the 39-40 yard line. Rolling out to your non-throwing shoulder and trying to stick a ball into a window on the sideline 35 yards down the field is not an easy throw to make.
If you stop feeding the trolls, they will go away. Cherry picking one single throw where the quarterback could have done a better job to justify a guy demanding a trade in the middle of a three game winning streak because the team is finding ways to win without him is desperate to say the least. No one is under the impression Zach has been perfect. Just like no one should be under the impression that Elijah is requesting a trade because he doesn’t want to play with Zach Wilson. Both of those things are common sense.
No you didnt. I already posted a video with EVERY pass play from the GB game. Where do you see a these open receivers that Wilson missed? You dont because GB smothered every reciever and when they didnt Wilson didnt have a lot of time.
Elijah Moore was the #1 option on the Jets when healthy last season. Now Garrett Wilson is likely to be the #1 option given the investment of a top 10 pick. If Moore thinks that he's not the #1 option any more and he's not getting a lot of targets it makes sense for him to try to move now while he still has a chance to save his season. Obviously the team winning is more important than Moore getting targets however from his perspective the latter is just as important as the former. As sports fans we tend to forget that the laundry doesn't mean much to the players. They don't get paid for wearing the laundry. They get paid for performing at a high level.
In a weird way, I have more respect for Jamal now than Elijah. At least Jamal forced his way out because the team wasn't winning and he wanted to win. Seems like Elijah wants out because he's not getting his. Both situations are selfish but at least Jamal was just trying to win which is a defensible position.
Great step in the right direction. Saleh's scheduled for a presser at 10:30 this morning. I'll be interested to see what he has to say on this.
Let's hope this gets resolved. He is a very talented player. If he is acting like this with GW brought in what would he have been if Tyreek was brought in. I still have faith. you can't win most games in the NFL throwing 18 times.
almost as if it made complete sense to do all of our damage on the ground. Only two people can’t comprehend that: Elijah Moore and the guy who runs around calling people retarded on a Jets message board.
It's obviously in the best interest of everyone involved to get this situation figured out. The Jets are a better team with Elijah on the field and Elijah will get a bigger contract if he's able to be on the field and produce. Hopefully, cooler heads have prevailed today and we can move past this situation quickly.
cry baby ass dude and ain’t no coming back from this. Even if he does everything right from here on out or says it. You went on Twitter and social media to air shit out because you are a millionaire baby. We won’t forget that, we can forgive him but won’t forget sorry that’s the honest truth
He's a young, passionate guy. I can certainly forgive him for this if he keeps his head down and contributes to this team going forward. The ball is in Elijah's court though, let's see what he does with it.
Can’t believe I had high hopes for him and he does this on Twitter while we are on a winning streak and trying to become a better team. Fuck that! Suspend him for the week and let’s watch him and Brown tweet ea other poems and shit
