Geno has been the most efficient passer in the league so far. highest QB rating, and completion percentage.

Their pass rush is the concern here. Their offense stinks regardless of who plays QB. We block, we win, It's that simple.

I know. It took him a while to mature….but Seattle probably saw him as a place keeper for now. The fact is they took the bounty for Wilson and were comfortable with Geno as the starter. Which tells me internally they saw Wilson on the decline.

It appears at this point Denver is gonna rue this trade ….

Wilson is completely overweight. He needs to lose atleast 20 pounds.

We've seen it countless times: teams trade for or sign that experienced star, and then he fails to perform like his past performance indicated. There's a lesson there, and I think JD learned it long ago, which is why he hasn't gone for the big, splashy trades/FA deals and has looked for the "bargains" - guys who may be a little older but still have something left in the tank and are willing to accept less money, or not quite proven players looking to prove themselves. It looks like that formula is working.

One could reasonably make an argument, consistent with the theory for the Jets, that even if we had landed a star QB like K. Cousins for example, that the results would not have been much different that the path we took thru the draft, at ten times the cost. The team was not and is not at the level where one high price acquisition will put you over the top. Hence missing on Hill was a blessing on many levels.
