Studs Entire Defense and special teams - I'll give a few shot outs below but really everyone on the D stepped up huge, holding GB to 10 points, at home, with the reigning MVP at QB, coming off a loss is kinda insane. On top of that they had a blocked punt for a TD, a blocked FG, 4 sacks, 5 TFLSs, and 5 PDs. not to mention the refs screwing us over and having to make 3 stops to get 1 punt. Sauce - dominant in coverage. a few key 3rd down PDs and wearing a cheese-head after the game Quinnen WIlliams - lived in the backfield, was disruptive all game, 2 sacks and 3 QB hits, also blocked a FG Clemmons - for the blocked punt Breeeeece!! - 120+ yards and a TD. his TD run was the nail in the coffin that kept momentum. Ulbrich - as much as fans wanted him fired, D is looking strong this year Saleh - for the culture change and for leading this team to fight and not fall apart JD - for building a roster full of young studs Jets as a whole - 1/3rd through the season and we are the 3rd bets record in the AFC and currant 5th seed, who would have guessed that? Duds Refs - god awful, both ways. but definitely fucked us more then they fucked GB Impatient fans who wanted saleh and ulbrich fired already EDIT: Stud - Duane Brown - dude was a tank out there sometimes 5-10 yards downfield swallowing up DBs and LBers
Yep I doubted both Saleh and Ulbrich but glad to see that we are turning the corner big time. Great write up as always Mr. A Was looking forward to this.
Duds The refs who always screw the Jets were in rare form concocting phantom penalties to help Aaron pouty face.
My patience was running thin with them, and I'm still a little iffy on Ulbrich, but everybody is making a good case for being kept at least another year.
Not as overlooked as Moore....DJ Reed is a stud. He may be overshadowed by Sauce but it seems Elijah Moore is not even in the game plan at times. I'm hoping that has something to do with the run first mentality and MLF protecting Zach these first few weeks back from the injury. I felt Moore was better in the slot.....
Special probs to C.J. Mosely & Quincy Williams. C.J. was playing on fire... Quincy led the team in tackles and assists with C.J. right behind him. Both made plays with some impact tackles & hits... They were a big part of the great defensive performance yesterday.
Jet Fans are getting tired of losing seasons. I want every Jet player to be apart of the success, but dude you're a pro. Act like one. I fucking hate Twitter.
How can QW1 not be on the list from PFF? They need to recalculate how they come up with their numbers.
Oh no you don't! I don't remember the fans fumbling the ball, dropping a pass, missing a tackle, or doing anything else to hold the team back in our win this week. The coaches that we had for the game this week were the same coaches we had for last year. Do you remember how many times other teams easily ran up the gut against our vaulted defensive line? Robert Saleh's and Jeff Ulbrich's record with the Jets is 7-15. We have every right to be critical of our coaches. If they are worth their salt the pressure they are under will only make them better
Berrios for doing things again from his small percentage of chances. Get him in the game 'Moore' and that lad as well.
Agree. The Jets are winning games they’d usually lose. They look like they’re having fun. The seasons been enjoyable so far. It’s not a 6 games season, though. Win back to back games in Lambeau and Denver to show the league you mean business. Back it up by at least splitting with the Bills and Pats over the following 6 games.
