Studs Sauce - INT, Safety, and held waddle/hill in check Echols - had some nice coverage plays, plus downed a punt on the 2 yard line Mann - great day punting for him pinning the fins deep Kwon - had a 4th down stop, plus was everywhere making tackles and hitting hard lawson - good pressure plus a strip sack Q - fumble return and stiff armed hill, plus was collapsing the pocket at will carter 2 - several pass breakups at big moments Hall - almost 200 total yards, very impressive day by the rookie Reed - great job in coverage against 2 great WRs Saleh - this team is different form past teams. we actually didn't let off and lose the lead, we kept piling on. He has us over 500 for the 1st time in a long time JD - great drafts the past 2 years. sauce, hall and wilson all have legit shots at ROTY Greg the Leg - continues a great season for us being perfect on kicks again Duds run defense - really the only thing bad in this game EDIT: I forgot AVT - has played 4 spots on our line this year, 1st game at RT and allowed 0 pressures, 0 sacks, 0 hurries, and 0 QB hits. 0 penalties too. AVT has been a god send to the o-line EDIT2: Zach Wilson - 0 turnovers, smart football, commanded the offense. tough 3rd down TD run at an important point. led us to 21 4th quarter points
he wasn't a dud, but didn't feel he was a stud. he did what was asked which wasn't much. the run game and defense ran away with this one. I was tempted to stud him for that diving TD on 3rd down which was huge though
it's a deceiving stat. zach played well, did what he was asked to, didn't make any mistakes and was efficient. passer rating loves that kind of play. but he wasn't asked to do alot either. I'm not against naming him a stud. he played well, he was just not asked to do much because everything else was working so well.
Stud: Q for picking up the fumble and throwing Tyreek to the ground. Dud: Q for failing to stomp on Tyreek's head after throwing him to the ground!
True coming out party for Sauce Gardner and Breece Hall. Seems like just a few weeks ago we were drafting these young college kids. So much fun to see new rookies playing out of their minds and changing the course of the game for the better. I'm used to hearing "It takes a while for rookies to develop, wait till next season". I like this way much better! Good job Joe Douglas! Maybe add him to the Studs list just for this game alone.
Great job! This week the studs definitely stood out! It's actually good not having Zach on the list, as this is an expected performance from him now. He will continue to get better and have games where he truly carries the team and makes the Studs list. He played really well though. Duds: I'm saying nobody. Even the run defense got the job done in the end. I thought Saleh going for it on 4th down was the wrong decision and then LaFleur's play call was even worse, but they both made up for it.
Great read as always. These are so much more fun after a win! I agree with leaving Zach off the studs list, as I think studs should really be doing something outstanding. That said, I thought he had a very good game and is displaying the kind of progression we all hoped for. He didn't take many risks (although that dive for the TD had my heart in my mouth) and he made some really good-looking throws. For the first time in a LONG time, I feel excitement when the Jets offense takes the field... rather than a sense of impending doom. I would add AVT to the studs list. The guy can slot in anywhere on the line and be more than competent. Apparently he didn't allow a single pressure all game, playing his third position in as many games. He is becoming a legend.
I've been a JFM basher and still want to see him stack good performances, but he was very good yesterday. No stud rating?
Lawson set a NY Jet franchise one game record with 7 QB hits. He also had 1 sack, 1 fumble, 47% rush win rate and the highest Jet grade by PFF of 92.5.
These guys need to play with the same level of intensity for Packers, their OL is good butgave up alot of pressures and sacks to theJinks
Like that. You mentioned Kwon, between him and Quincy we have some exciting flying LB’s! Huff has been right there this year on a few plays that other ppl have had, but very impressed with him. Good game by JFM too. on a side note, are we gonna see cager again?
IDK maybe if the gameplan fits but as of now seems like it's the uzomah and conklin show. mostly conklin
