You define a super star receiver as one you throw the ball to even if they are covered one on one. Wilson is that kind of receiver now. I think Flacco recognizes this, and I hope the other Jet QBs take heed. Just throw him the d@mn ball.
Wilson is a true game changer. Keep getting more difference makers like him and look out. He's lightning quick and is great at creating space even in the tightest windows.
If it weren't so crazy a notion, I'd think this is Adam Gase. He's known to have burner accounts on social media, God knows he has too much time on his hands, his threads seem to either praise Douglas or trash Saleh, and his join date was less than a month after the Jets hired Gase.
This is a positive thread I can get onboard with. I’m not a fan of JD. Not that I want him fired by any means, I just think his 2020 draft was an out and out Idzik level disaster, and I feel his 2021 draft was pretty poor as well (still early I realize). His FA hasn’t been much better. But i do see his plan, and it’s a plan i can get behind. But he’s gotta hit some picks and no doubt this is a very talented draft class. From top to bottom JD hit players that look and play at or above the level they were drafted thus far. Above in most cases. I know he came on taking Mac’s scouts, I wonder if/when he has brought in some of his own guys as scouts.
I've felt progressively better about each successive draft class since 2020. That said, there's a long way to go before this year's haul can be considered the best in team history. And I was high on multiple players selected in 2022.
I’m not even sure the Clemons hit was much of a penalty. This might very well become the best draft for a Jets turn around in a long, long time
Hugely important point you mentioned. JD draft has steadily improved from year to year to year. This one has Every one of our rookies contributing in the line up. We got heart, we got young talent and we got leaders on this team. The more this group plays together the better they will become.
