They can't replace Flacco right now. They need at least an honest semblance of effort from him moving forward and whatever else they have gotten from him today he has been trying. If Zach was a maybe week two option they might replace Flacco but needing him to start the next few weeks makes him unreplaceable at the moment.
Mims led our receivers on thar preseason but hey, why throw him the ball? Maybe we can give him some reps at deep safety.
Just got back from a road trip. Glad I've missed almost all of this shitshow. I hear boos in the background too and that's not a good sign. SloJoe looks even slower.
A nice game with some good catches against scrubs, the only trouble is he still didn't get any seperation.
I can't decide If I'm dumb for thinking that If Corey Davis was the healthy scratch, our offense would look a lot better.
Game plan next week should be pound the ball, run wide, off-tackle, draw and then when the defense is tired of giving up yards on the ground and moves up into the box you let Flacco air it out. Same game plan would probably work best for Zach also. If you start week two the team should have it down by week 4 or 5 when Zach is back.
The Jets have the skill players what they don’t have is a solid stout OL - at least not yet. That needs to be fixed once and for all this coming offseason - along with some of these current guys like AVT and Mitchell gaining experience and gelling. But in the meantime I don’t see Flacco as a match to this offense ….
