I'm not going to lose any sleep over not having Pinnock or Will Parks, but the idea that the Jets think Ashtyn Davis is the answer at backup safety is a little alarming.
I guess it does look like that lol. I guess my point was Davis sucks, but I am mostly indifferent on Parks and Pinnock.

He always seemed to come in and just gunslinging it around putting up 350 yards 4 TD's and then going back to back up, he must have done that at least 3 times to us. I was think our man could have been like that but we are back on the Mike White train, whoop whoop
Pretty obvious that Douglas won't admit his early 2020 draft was that bad. Cutting Perine was enough for him. Likely he will keep Davis only because he was picked in round 3.
Wow, Pinnock cut is shocking. By all accounts they were high on him. He was starting when Joyner was out while Davis remained buried. Parks also very disappointing. JD is nuts if he's still hanging on to Ashtyn Davis. That dude is garbage. I bet they sign Jaquiski Tartt or Tony Jefferson. Hope they get those two back on the PS. They showed something (possibly more than Joyner and definitely more than Davis). The other safety left is UDFA Tony Adams. No clue what they still see in Ashtyn Davis still.
Totally agree on Davis--he couldn't tackle my 88 year old mother in law. Parcells often said that to him having safeties who can tackle was just as important as having safeties who can cover. And I'm not sure Davis can do either. Douglas must really like him.
I know! You can't just release a potential HOF QB1 like Chris Streveler and think fans won't be upset! I am worried the Ravens will sign him, Lamar Jackson will hold out, and Streveler will throw for 400 yards, 5 TD, and 100 yards rushing in a 45-10 Ravens win next week!
So looks like Tartt maybe who JD is looking for. Definitely familiar with the system…the final cut roster is usually different then what they actually take to game 1. I’m kinda surprised about Pinnock but I’m curious if there’s a reason to cut someone sooner then later…maybe trying to pass a guy through. I’m totally guessing right now lol
Sounds like they really like Tony Adams. Maybe it'll end up being him and Tartt behind Joyner and Whitehead. Still hope they don't lose Parks and Pinnock as they looked like decent depth and had potential
Dont see us getting Tartt and he don’t start. I personally haven’t seen Joyner play well and he looks like he lost a step with all the injuries
They cut two rotation-caliber players for a guy that shouldn't be in the league. That's bad no matter how you look at it.
