    This is true but if there was ever an election to vote for the lesser of two evils we just saw it in 2020. It was worse in 2016.

    Seriously, the Secret Service should be firing anybody who deleted texts about Jan 6th. It doesn't matter why they deleted them. The positions they fill are sensitive enough that anybody who is in them should know not to text about things that are immaterial to Presidential security and never under any circumstances to delete texts that were material.

    Well, obviously that's not a text *about* Jan 6th.

    However it's a good question from another standpoint - which is that detailed agents should not be carrying insecure texting devices while on detail and should not be using secure texting devices for personal business.

    suppose trump tried to get the secret service to join in the insurrection, then they delete evidence of that.

    it’s not too far fetched. Most coup attempts start with getting the closest security team on board
