Again, for Trouba to play the style of game he plays there are prices that he and the Rangers pay. The price just came due in Tampa when the home team got at least one very favorable call against him.

I'm not saying it wasn't his fault, just that there were circumstances that have been building for weeks around the calls yesterday.

 

God no. That means Nemeth comes back onto the ice.

 

That second hold was soft as shit. The third penalty was a necessary penalty.

My biggest gripe regarding Trouba is that he runs point on PP2, but that’s not his fault. Gallant needs to put Miller there.

 

I'd probably make these line changes if Strome can't go.

Panarin -- Mika -- Kreider
Lafrieniere -- Chytil -- Kakko
Copp -- Goodrow -- Motte (Try to get this line out against Stamkos and Kucherov for defense)
Vatrano -- Rooney -- Reaves

BTW, I'm hoping Miller is watching Trouba and taking notes. He has the size and the composure to play the same role Trouba does in the future. It's really important not to get hot while you are playing the role because then it looks thuggish as opposed to just strong hockey.

Bolts needed an implosion from Trouba, an epic collapse in the 3rd from the Rangers, and 50+ shots to win only by 1 goal.

Rangers win tonight 3-1.

 

They won't recover from the last loss...it's over.

 

I didn't expect them to win game 3 either but there they were up 2-0 in the second. That's what made the loss sting for me. If they had won the series would have been all but over.

That said, people have had the Rangers dead and burried the last two series. We are extremely resilient and we are definitely as good as TB, if not better.

 

I feel like a broken record that I keep saying the same thing over and over but score the first goal and completely put the pressure on Tampa. Said it for Game 7 vs Carolina and then for game 3 vs Tampa. Put all of the pressure on them and make them sweat. We did it last time, but this time just gotta hold on. Come on boys
