Same. I prefer the 1:00 games. But I do think the Jets will get two primetime games. One at home and one on the road. The Jets have received a lot of positive press this offseason with the moves they have made. They are a big market team that appears to be trending up at least on paper. Of course they have to prove it on the field.
I agree. It should be earlier in the season too so the allure of a very good offseason doesn't wear off after a few losses. I'll take a September night game over a November night game. Either way driving back to CT after a night game sucks.
I hate primetime games, I can never fall asleep afterward, I'm either too pumped up or too depressed to sleep, usually, the latter.
I hope this is just a rumor. Rather be flexed into a prime time game later in the season if we exceed expectations.
It would be a great statement if we could go out and beat the Patriots in prime time on opening day to show we aren't the SOJ this season. I say bring it on.
No idea but sounds weird. One game on ABC which will reach to bigger audience and other on ESPN. Really weird.
3 primetime games for a team coming off a 4-13 season I would say its BS. I do think the Jets will get a primetime game and maybe 2 but not 3. They would have to have a good regular season first and show that they are a good team by winning games to get 3.
Typically I would agree but if you look at the potential narratives that surround each game, they kind of make sense. Week 1 SNF: Pats @ NYJ (9/11: Zach vs Mac: Division Rivals) Week 9 MNF: Phins @ NYJ (Divison Rivals: Tyreek almost went to the Jets but chose Miami) Week 15 TNF: Jags @ NYJ (Trevor vs Zach Round 2) I do think that all 3, especially all being at home, would be unlikely but I could definitely see 2 of those 3 being made official tomorrow night.
I would be very surprised if they get 3. I think 2 is realistic with one at home and one on the road. Week 1 on SNF would be surprising but as you mentioned it is 9/11. I could see the league wanting a NY team to have the spotlight for that weekend. Do a pregame ceremony remembering those who lost their lives would be a nice thing to do.
On top of the obligatory Thursday night game, I expect at least a Monday night game. Maybe a late season Saturday game possible too. Packers and Steelers. I will travel to both cities. God please let the games be in warm months
