Sounds about right lol I know the Jets won. And it was really awkward leaving lol Sent from my SM-F926U using Tapatalk
Looks like NFL and NBA will compete for Christmas Day games. NFL will schedule 3 games on Christmas Day just like Thanksgiving day. Two afternoon games on CBS and Fox and one Night game on NBC.
IIRC, our offense was unstoppable in the first half that day. Would be nice to see that type of game this year.
It was 31-0 at halftime the largest ever deficit for a home game for the Packers ever up to that point.
Oh yeah it's totally fine, it's just weird being there not in packers gear. Nothing happened lol Sent from my SM-F926U using Tapatalk
It won't be a competition. The NBA is going to get crushed in the ratings trying to go up against the NFL.
NFL Schedule leaks on Twitter: "Rumor: Patriots @ Jets Week 1 SNF" / Twitter The date will be 9/11 so maybe they give NY the "spotlight" game. I personally find it hard to believe the Jets will be on SNF for week 1. I do think they will get a primetime game or two but just not week 1.
Hope it is true. Would love to start season kicking Hoodie's ass but I think Cowboys-Giants might be a juicier match up. Just my 2 cents.
If we're gonna make a splash this season... nice way to introduce it. We all know how good we are in prime-time...
Jets/Pats makes sense. At least some of the country will turn on the game to watch 2 high-profile young QBs battle it out in yr 2. For better or worse, there's a lot of national name recognition with Mac Jones and Zack Wilson after their first seasons. And the Jets got a ton of good press for our draft. Plus, the Hoodie is always a good draw. All the Giants have to offer is another boring game with their QB playing terrible.
There’s also a rumor the Jets are in Denver week 4. That would match up with the Giants going to London week 5. The London teams are always scheduled a home game the week before…
Reasons they would do this: -9/11 and the Giants are probably the worse NYC team this year. -Jets are getting a lot of hype after the draft. -Battle of Wilson and Jones, both QB’s from the 2021 Draft. Reasons they wouldn’t do this: -Wilson highly unproven, giving Belichick that much time to scheme against him could have major blowout potential. -Jets have won 6 games in the last 2 years. I find it very unlikely the NFL would risk their Week 1 SNF game on Zach Wilson and the Jets getting crushed at home on 9/11. If the Jets were going to play that game, it would more likely be a team with less blowout potential like Miami. There are plenty of storylines there: -Both HC’s from SF -Divisional Rival -Jets tried to get Tyreek Hill Makes way more sense than the Patriots to me.
Jets-Pats in week 1, fine. But I can't see it on SNF, since the NFL seems to take it seriously that teams need to earn their way into its biggest primetime slot for SNF... and 6 wins over the last two years doesn't cut it. There's a reason we haven't been featured since 2011 (or technically 2012, counting the Thanksgiving night game). Maybe a chance for MNF, though.
