I'm really not looking forward to playing the Canes if the Rangers beat Pittsburgh. Igor is going to have to play out of his mind if the Rangers are going to have a legitimate chance.
I'll be happy if they win the round, however you really have to take your chances when they are in front of you. This is one of the best chances the Rangers will have to win a Cup while Gallant is coach. His impact on the team is fresh and they have responded. Now is the time to push all the way through and start a dynasty. If they lose before the finals odds are pretty good their shot next year will be inferior to the one they have in front of them. This year we have few injuries and several players on a career roll and the vets we picked up near the deadline are clicking. Next year, who knows?
its been a fun season. all this bloviating about a good chance to win it... hot air, imho we're good. we're not THAT good.
When you get to the playoffs, you gotta just empty it and go for it. Team is built for a run. If Igor gets hot forget about it. With that being said, MSG is UNREAL right now.
what does "built for a run" mean? depends heavily on GK to bail them out of games where we surrender 40 SOG?
Feels to me like a half dozen 50/50 calls on penalties and such have gone against the Rangers tonight. That's not supposed to happen at home.
Big moment here. The Rangers win this and they're on the way. Lose it and they are scrapping desperately.
This double-OT thing sucks. Igor is going to be tired win or lose. The Rangers are going to need a cold bath for him to sit in to stop the inflammation and imagine doing that after nearly two hours in goal.
