Not sure if it was posted but he said he mimics his game after Stevie Johnson. That dude ran the most unorthodox routes and was super successful. The only player who truly gave Revis a problem.. if that’s what we got sign me up.

I wonder what Joe Douglas and the Jets Front Office's thoughts were on Garrett Wilson before the draft? They tried so hard to get Tyreek Hill, then Deebo Samuel. Then were completely thrilled to get Wilson at #10. They clearly like him.

So did they just not expect him to last to 10? They wanted to use #35 and #38 to get Hill, perhaps so they could go Sauce and Johnson at #4 and #10? If so, the plan worked out either way as they end up with CB, WR and Edge still. Plus still end up with Breece Hall too. Amazing stuff.

Time will tell if Wilson will develop into as good of a WR as Hill or Samuel, but I like his potential.

Garrett Wilson reminds me of Kevin Hooks who played Morris Thorpe on the White Shadow TV series.

Maybe he will come to his first NFL gig and start lobbying for a guy that graduated from the same high school 5 years prior to him. Sounds solid.

I could only see that ending badly, and only a good idea in the mind of someone who has never wanted Wilson, or for Wilson to succeed.

 

as good as an idea as signing timmy tebow....

 

It is too early for Mayfield to back up a 2nd year QB, it would just be a controversy waiting to happen.

I guess you know that though

Wilson gets this season to show what he can do, if he has shown no improvement then it is new QB time.

 

we know a good amount to figure it out.

we know sauce was the pick at 4, we know they had wilson rated higher then JJ, we know they had JJ rated higher then drake. so i'm guessing if we landed hill it would have been sauce and JJ. we did make an offer for deebo when we were up at 10 so we liked deebo more then wilson.
