You'll need an analytics expert to answer this. Apparently there are a bunch of things he does well however they don't seem to include helping his team win a game.

At least the Yankees are doing the right thing in burying a fast high contact, low strikeout hitter in IKF in the 8 hole every game. The same guy who now leads the team in batting average.

I said it a bunch last year, but the whole let’s change the lineup every fucking day is mind blowing.

I'm going to give what's probably an unpopular take on the way the game ended. I'm not defending the bacteria in the bleachers that did that, but the players have to be smarter than engaging with hecklers, even if the lowlifes are cheering an injury. You can't call penalties on the crowd and crowds can get out of control in a hurry. Especially at the end of the game when they've got to be pretty well oiled. Pros have to be able to ignore the heckling, regardless of how tasteless it is. Nothing good is going to come from confronting them.

That said, if the stadium security can positively identify anyone, prosecute away plus a lifetime ban from the stadium, those assholes deserve whatever they get.

I think that's a fair take. The CF should not have climbed the fence to jaw with a drunken idiot. Not a smart idea. But still, a terrible look for the NY sports fan.

Not unpopular. I thought the same thing. I don’t think fans are any meaner now than they were in the 70s or 80s, yet the fan-player incidents has skyrocketed.

Either the players need to be smarter or security needs to let them go Malice in the Palace if they get hit by a flying object.

Don’t MLB stadiums shut off beer sales in the 7th inning anymore?

Cole staked to a 2 run lead. Let's see him blow it.

6-0 now. Cole will really have to work hard if he wants to blow this one.

Clearly I need to shit talk Cole more.

    6 innings, 3 hits, 0 earned runs, 8 k's, 1 bb. That's more like it.

I'm still not thrilled with the composition of the lineup but judging it after 11 games is a bit premature. The talent is there:

LeMahieu, Judge, Rizzo, Stanton and Donaldson are very good hitters who will get their numbers by the end of the year. I'm not ready to give up on Torres...too much natural talent. It seems they they all cotls at the same time which is a huge problem.

A other win for the Yankees. 8-2 in their last 10 ties them with Milwaukee for the hottest team over the past 10 games.

The bats have woken up. 10th in average, 3rd in home runs and 7th in OPS.

The pitching has been outstanding with the 3rd lowest ERA in baseball. And that's with Cole's rough start to the season.

So happy they resigned Rizzo. Such an easy guy to root for. 8 hr, 18 rbi and a ops over 1. The guy is on fire.

I remember last year the announcers or an analyst ( I forget) were talking about how Rizzo’s average fell off a cliff in 2020 and 2021 because he was always early and ripping hard hit line drives and bombs foul and would then fall behind in the counts with all of the foul balls.

Looks like he’s straightened out his timing. Cashman is grinning right now.

Gleyber still isn’t producing quite yet but he looks much better at the plate. His swing has evened out back to when he was on fire a couple years ago and it looks like he’s not pressing for homers anymore.

The guy that needs to rebound to 2020 form is DJ LeMahieu. He was not good last year and it really hurt the offense. The Yankees don't have many guys that can hit for average but he's one of them. It's good to see him hitting over 300 again.

15-6, 8 game winning streak, 1st place in their division. What slow start?

2.70 team era, second to the Dodgers. They have the 6th highest team batting average, 3rd highest team OPS, 2nd in home runs and 4th in runs scored. And this is with Gallo and Donaldson hitting .180 and .203 respectively. If those guys ever heat up, they will have one of the best lineups in baseball.

Cole's era is down to 3. Monty 2.70, Cortes 1.31, Severino 3.32 and Taillon is 3.26. That's just nasty. King is the best MR in baseball right now. I do wish we had another option at closer. Chapman scares the shit out of me. So does Greene. Too many innings on that arm of his.

If the pitching stays healthy, the Yankss could make a serious run. That's a big if though.

Huge win last night. I really thought Toronto was going to push a run across in the late innings. They had a bunch I'd chances.

Torres has himself a game. He drive in all 3 runs with the last one being the game winner. Id he returns to form the Yankees lineup will be one of the best in baseball and that's with an automatic out behind the plate.

10-0. Would love to take 2 of 3 from the Jays. Their bats are are due to really wake up and I could see the Yankees getting shelled tonight.
