These 1 goal games are going to kill me. Rangers looking like they stack up well against the playoff bracket in the East. The vet additions over the last few weeks have really fleshed out the lines. 3 strong now and a good 4th.
i dont get to watch being on the west coast and at work, occasionally on tyhe weekend i can catch a game... i have also noticed we are not yielding 30-40 shots a game almost every game any longer... seems the hatches have been battened down? or something
What a great game. Igor stole us a win in the last 15 seconds. The last two games vs Pittsburgh have felt like playoff games to me. Anxiety and adrenaline was through the roof last night, can't imagine how I'll feel if our Jets ever make the damn playoffs.
Barring a collapse from either Carolina or the Rangers, they get Pittsburgh. Season series is 2-1 and it really could be 3-0. If I'm a team in the east, I definitely don't want to play the Rangers; it's gonna be awfully hard to beat Igor in a bo7.
cos my 1st playoff viewing ( not AT game, never been to a playoff game) was 1981 when Harper fumbled the opening kickoff and we went down like 24-0 we storm back and game winning poetntial pass got picked in the EZ to end it...
No offense taken. I’m 24. I’ve always been a hyper guy that gets jacked up for big games that I have involvement in whether it was as a fan or player back in high school. I haven’t seen many playoff appearances between the Jets, Mets, and Rangers. I got the 2010 Jets playoff run and the 2015 Mets WS run. I didn’t really watch hockey until 2019.
The thing about the Rangers is that all of our runs that fall short are about a hot goalie who eventually folds against a much better shooting team. The reason we won in '94 was that the Rangers were capable of picking up the scoring pace when Richter got rolled as any goalie eventually will. Messier and company picked Richter up after 4-1 and 6-3 losses in the finals and he held the door in the 3-2 final game. So when I see the Rangers pick up the scoring recently with some of their vet additions adding in the extra goals that tells me we have a real chance this year. We're going to have to win some 4-3 games to get there because as good as Shesty is he is going to be facing teams that score 3 goals rolling out of bed in the morning.
im 54 and i still get surprised that I get nervous b4 Jet games when they are watchable... quietd a whole bar (Washoe House) when Jets beat Colts in the playoffs and i went J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!! at the top pf my lungs...
My entire family opened our front door and yelled J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS about 7 times. Miss that season.
