A funny draft, after picking McBride and then Wydermyer back to back, I could have had Ruckett in the 100-110 range and Kolar even later. I went WR heavy early doors just for a change, I think I would like us to take Olave now, I was impressed at the combine and then on his highlights, I took Burke because he fell so far and surely all those TGG posters can't be wrong about him, right? I used some later picks on players with potential to be something in 1-3 seasons time with the right coaching. NYJ 7. Yes, he fell and fell and fell, he was listed as a first-rounder, he is #15 atm so I guess they have updated recently but I think when I did that draft he was #31, hence why it was a no brainer to select him at #69. The Eagles will be laughing, what a year to have those three picks in the 1st round, they can go so many different routes.

eagles are in a really good spot though. i'd take their picks over ours unless somehow KT or hutch fell to 4
With them being 15 16 and 19 they are under no pressure to try and reach and can happily take three great prospects that are there at the spots they have. In some ways, the #4 is like a poisoned chalice for JD, he has to wait and hope Hutch or KT drops to us or he then goes into the twilight zone where nobody agrees on who should be selected with the #4 or trade back. Who would ever think having two picks in the top 10 was a problem lol
It’s only a problem to the fans, JD and scouts are not losing sleep over those two picks, they have their top 25 players ready to go on the board. Jets are getting 2 day one starters barring injury with the 4th and 10th pick, it’s a beautiful thing!
Yeah, you're probably right but Jets will Jets at times lol It will certainly be interesting to see which way he goes with the first 5 picks, it could be franchise changing and not before time tbh.
69 ARNOLD EBIKETE... Hes on my list too..I think he's gonna be a good player..id love to get him there.
This was my draft with no trades, just let the board fall and see who best players on board were. I also resisted the temptation to overreach on players I knew should go lower in draft. 4th pick Ikem Ekwonu- OT- NCST 10th pick-Kyle Hamilton-S- ND 35th pick- Jahan Dotson- WR-Penn State 38th Pick- Trey McBride-TE-Colorado State 69th pick-Boye Mafe- DE- Minnesota 110th pick- Channing Tindall-LB- Georgia 116th pick- Rachaad White- RB- Arizona State 146th pick- Tyreek Smith-DE- Ohio State 163rd pick- Marqueese Bell-S-Florida A&M

Sign me up! Although I might prefer Watson over Dotson as the WR taken, but I wouldn't cry over Dotson...I just think his size is more like Moore who we already have.
Watson was not available at this point and I couldn’t let Ikem and Hamilton pass me by, I also got McBride so that would be another weapon teams have to contend with. If there were a Chase, I would have definitely selected him, but I would be happy with this draft.
Yeah, given the choices you had, this is about as close to a perfect draft that I could reasonably hope JD pulls off.
He dominated the national championship game the year he came out. I thought he'd be the best pass rusher in the draft.
Yeah, Ebikete is a hell of an athlete, with plus, quickness, speed, and explosion. He also has developed some pass rush moves. It's a bummer that he measured so small (6'2" 250) at the Combine. This seemed to confirm what some analysts had been saying: that he would best fit as a rush linebacker in a 3-4 system. I would take him anyway at pick 69, though. He has long arms (34"), and will make a great pass rush specialist right now. Also, he could probably put on a few pounds as he matures. Saleh seemed to have no trouble projecting Dee Ford at the same size for a pass rush role with the 49rs.
Last years draft we went with O with premium picks and D in the later rounds. For this mock I did the opposite. 4. Sauce Gardner 10. Jermaine Johnson 35. Lewis Cine 38. Trey McBride 68 Skyy Moore 110 Jeremy Ruckert 114 Calvin Austin
