Bart Scott and his "Curious case of Idiocy"

Yeah. He's trolling for clicks.

 

Bingo. The hallmark of a good media guy isn't the accuracy of their claims, it's the amount of outrage and eyeballs their takes generate.

Bart Scott is basically doing his best Skip Bayless impression.

 

Bart is the same as Cimini and Mehta it is all about generating as many page views with attention seeking antics or headlines.

 

Everyone should enjoy this. Also some extremely damning stuff that should (but won’t) get Bart in trouble.

 

First of, he picked the wrong game to blame Wilson. He was dead wrong and showed his bias. He is another big mouth like Rex. Wilson to a large extent carried the game on his shoulders as a rookie with third stringers while the D was getting bitch slapped by Brady in the fourth quarter. He should have started there. Secondly, talk about ego, he sees himself as a knowleable source for post play analysis including offensive play calling without zero knowledge as to what the call from above actually was. If the call was properly relayed without the option this was a non starter. Ego had fuck all to do with it, except for his personal one.

 

Bart has always sucked which is why he’s been bounced around to three or four different outlets in the past couple years. I’m disappointed that Willie Colon joined the fun though. I always liked him and he had a decent morning show on Barstool Sirius XM that I used to lost to before Covid on my drives to work.

Their takes were all awful and baseless. Wilson made that play because he wanted to be the man in a meaningless game on a 4-11 team? Cmon now. All three should be fired and I hope the Jets brass gives SNY an earful about this charade.

 

Am I the only one who doesn't have an issue with Cimini's work?

He can be snarky at times, but his coverage is mostly fair.

 

How do you know when the media is only looking for negativity.....When the team plays good for 58 minutes and makes 1 mistake & all they want to talk about is one bad play. The post game press conferences were all about the 4th & 2 play. No one mentioned to Zach how well he played, or Saleh about anything Positive out of the game. Yes it was a poor decision, but we played 60 minutes of football not 30 seconds.

 

And by the way, I wished the Jets media at the Official web site would stop interviewing his sorry ass, as he is not at all capable to see the bigger picture and just focused on his pet pees.
And while I’m on a rant, the problem is we have way to many walkie-talkies with limited skills looking for something negative to get clicks. SNY needs to get rid of of those clowns.

 

I've got no clue Brook. I think Saleh said it best in his presser today, I don't know about that one.

 

Rex brought Bart in as his first master move in '09 to establish culture, because Bart is a Ryan disciple. It stands to reason that he'd start doing the sensationalism bit not long after Rex did.

Edit: this kind of annoys me because I like Bart Scott. One of the main reasons I like him was Can't Wait and the bomb he dropped on talking heads after the win over NE.

He one of the guys he was calling out now.

What Saleh said was OK, but I'm disappointed that he didn't defend Zach more strongly. He should have said something like, "That is a totally bogus take. It is not in Zach's nature to do something selfishly or to put himself over team. Those guys have no clue what they're talking about and owe Zach an apology."

 

I'm perfectly fine with Saleh's response.

He's taking a page from Internet 101. Don't feed the trolls.

 

Some threads just turn into a goldmine.

 

The thing is were those comments just on the internet, or were they broadcast on TV?

 

I think they made those comments on the SNY Post-Game show but the same logic applies IMO.

Saleh knows what they're saying doesn't apply to Wilson so just dismiss it and move on. No need to give those guys more clicks for their trash takes.
