It bears mentioning that Becton was given an injury turnaround of 6 to 8 weeks. Becton has now been out 3 months. What kind of medical staff do the Jets have that could be so wrong? I don't day this lightly. We haven't heard about any aggravating circumstances that may have elongated his recovery period?

When it comes to a dislocated knee cap, I have personal experience it that injury. It's happened to me 3 times. I've always known the rehabilitation period for that type of injury is typically at least 10 weeks. The problem with that injury is that your knee swells up so badly that it really becomes a hindrance to regaining range of motion. I'm really beginning to wonder if maybe some changes are needed within the Jets medical dept.?

The Jets medical staff didn't sign off or refer the surgery from what I understand, he got a second opinion. I don't know the protocol for handling rehabs in that situation but I'm going to guess the rehab is by a third party as well. We don't know what communication or exposure the Jets medical staff has to third parties in this situation but they might be in the dark about his true status.

I have given Joe some heat about how he handles his injury situations but it's kind of a thing in the NFL now for players to be advised to use injury as a business tool, so we don't know if Becton is really a victim here either.

Write it down, Cashman Becton will be an injured-ridden "part-time" NFL player, unfortunately not worth his draft status. We will need to address his inevitable replacement in next year's draft (although not in Round 1). The injury to Cam Clark only reaffirms this teams curse

Not looking forward to wasting a half hour of my day watching this team before i shut off the TV.
First time in forever that i have not watched a single game in its entirety.

Sorry, it's one of those mornings.

Yeah, I forgot about Clarke. That very clearly makes the injury situation that much worse. Now don't get me wrong, I'm still not ready to give up on Douglas‘s drafts but I think it's clear at this point the 2020 draft is not what we thought it was?

But I'm most concerned about what is going on in the top levels of the Jets medical staff. The Jets players, for the most part, cannot stay healthy. The Jets injury situation is at epidemic proportions for about 3 seasons now. Remember, in Cam Clarke's case, the Jetd were forced to keep and play Greg Van Roten. GVR has been horrible all season. It's even now forced JD to trade for Laurent Duvernay-Tardif. Luckily, Douglas was able to get LDT on the cheap.

I think Joe Douglas needs to take a very close and thorough look at the training and medical staff in the offseason. This just doesn't make any sense how bad this injury situation has become.

All of the Jets top doctors probably went to medical school in the Caribbean because they couldn’t get into US med schools.

Woody saves a couple dollars on it though.

Good News! Becton is only 168kg. Stock in Golden Corral nationwide plummet.

Just sign Fant for another 3 years and keep adding pieces to the team via draft.

It seems to me that the Jets are dealing with the same rash of injuries that almost the entire league has been dealing with since the practice rules were changed and then the additional restrictions with Covid.

Medical staff can only do so much when the injuries are due to guys not being in the right football shape.

I am always in favor of constant improvement in medical staff like any other staff though.

Fant has played some really good football this year on the left side. It would be nice to have MB turn It around, get his weight under control, learn his craft, and stay on the field.. Fortunately, with the play of Fant, I'm not as concerned as I was when he initially went down. I'm hopeful things are going to work out on that OL regardless.

Trust me pal, you are not alone! I've been shutting the garbage off by 130pm since the Rex years. After 5 years, I am no longer interested in getting emotionally invested in a can of spam. When they turn into real steak, I'll get my appetite back, but not until then.

When Becton was first injured, I tweeted out (probably mistakenly at the time) that I had hoped his knee surgery came with a gastric bypass. He actually got really pissed off at me, and he and his psychophants flamed me, after which I think he blocked me on twitter. No loss, believe me. Now I ask you, why would a pro athlete making millions of NFL dollars to basically do d*ck, get offended by something some dope / nobody says on twitter? The only answer I can think of is he knew that I was right! IMHO, he is lazy, constantly overweight, careless and out of NFL football shape, and should be arrested for stealing. By not taking care of his body enough to be in football shape, the guy's been injured his entire 2-year career for which there is no excuse nor defense at his age. Hell, you or I can sign a huge contract, then go out and get hurt for the season 3 minutes into game 1. I'd do that in a heartbeat. It just bugs the living hell out of me a person given the natural gift of an NFL caliber body and career, aka, license to basically make millions to play a kid's game, yes taking it for granted while guys like us have to live paycheck to paycheck hoping to break even, and/or make ends meet.

Why was it that right after we drafted him, we learned he had some type of addiction. Why don't we start there?

I'm 99% sure Douglas knew about the eating problem and drafted him anyway. Remember when Douglas made the call to Becton to tell him we were drafting him, Douglas said something along the lines of "remember your personal goals we talked about?". I have to think that was related to his weight or eating.

Are we running a rehab clinic or a football team?
