Loading up at Duncan Dognuts saw a flier that shows the remaining games with the offer of 35% off? I’m just a lowly season ticket holder. WHERE IS MY FUCKING 35% OFF???
Unfortunately they are desperate, as they should be. The product sucks. I have gotten calls from them even though my last season’s tickets were at Shea. Although I might attend an occasional game, certainly not this year, I will never go the season tickets route again.
Good sign. Tweedledum and Tweedledipshit must be running low on Glace ice cubes for their Wilson Cocktails.
I feel you my friend. Heading out now. Most likely I will not be able to make it to J15. But let's plan something for Saints game. My Brooklyn crew won't be around so I will come over to J15 straight.
Drop the season tickets and you can go to each game after October 17th for perhaps even less than that.
For a 1pm game: Leave at 9am Arrive at stadium 12pm Get slaughtered, showered with beer and / or get into a fist fight and leave by 3pm Get home at around 9pm. For a 4pm game: Leave at 1pm Arrive at 359pm Get slaughtered, showered with beer and / or get into a fist fight and leave by 6pm Get home at around 11pm No thank you.
I used to have to travel back to east LI after a game . Imagine it’s even worse now. I Once listened to a Yankees/Red Sox game on the radio. Game was starting as I got in my car. Was over before I passed yankee stadium.
It's most likely a scam if it makes you feel any better. EDIT: Dead website, so there ya go. https://www.nyticketdeals.com/up-to-35-off-new-york-jets-tickets-via-dunkin-donuts-offer/
YUP!!!! This bullshit is the exact reason I gave up my tickets and told them to shove their worthless PSLs up their asses in 2017. I got an email late in the 2016 season with BOGO and free concession items, and I called to complain. I mean, I pay full price in advance and even pay for the seat license, I get no discount at all? I was told it was a sponsored ad, and not the team itself. They told me to look at the fine print. About the size of a flea's pinky toe was verbiage at the bottom of the email stating this. But it came from the Jets marketing email!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They, in so many words, told me too bad. So, I walked and haven't been back since. It's disheartening, but not surprising, to see they are still pulling this shit.
OK, want to laugh? Fasten your seatbelts. I put my troll cap on and I just called the Jets FO. I spoke to a rep who sounded like he was dead inside and I said "I have a couple of questions. I happened to stroll into the Dunkin Donuts on 17 yesterday on the way to the game. There was a flyer offering 35% off on remaining games. I went to the website to check it out, but it's a dead link. Is this a scam?" He goes, "Yeah, that flyer was selectively worded (doesn't address the dead link or question it)." "What does selectively worded mean? And, is it through the Jets or not?" "It's through the Jets, but it has more to do with group seating purchases and it's up to 35% off, not necessarily 35% off. Jaguars maybe." "What about parking?" "With the group purchase we give you a break on that." First of all, that very last part? I heard that that is not true at all, but stories vary. So then he goes, "If you're interested in any remaining games, just call back and we can help you with that." "At a discount?" "Depends." I don't even know what kind of conversation I just had. @GreenFan15J , did you keep that thing?
That sounds suspiciously familiar to the conversation I had 5 years ago. They clearly are fucking the season ticketholders but don't want to lie outright, but at the same time the reps are not trained to handle the questions properly. Incredible that a multi-billion dollar franchise in the most popular sport in the country can't even get this right.
They should tack on an additional 30%, for each remaining game.... then when it's free the final game, Woody will finally have a full house to sell overpriced beers
The Jets are still shilling putting money down for a price freeze on STs that's refundable. So if THEY decide not to raise prices they give you some bullshit concession thing "worth" a $100? Put it towards your STs? Not actual $ back in your pocket? Can you cut me a check? So, it's based on the market, whatever that is? They don't specify. This is like a crappy answering machine that I bought on the streets of NY 30 years ago for $10 bucks that didn't work/parts missing. To his credit, the guy who obviously got them black market and was shoveling them out of a truck actually DID give me my money back because just as I started to leave, I said really? Honor among thieves, believe that? The Jets FO, not so much. The Jets tried to pull the price freeze thing on me as well for $98 instead of $100 before I threw my hands up in 2018, balked, and walked because too much garbage to list.
Well the only thing is that the “up to X% off” is a marketing ploy that’s been used for decades. It’s proprietary deception by the Jets. Tons of companies do it unfortunately. I’d venture to say nearly every company that offers any sort of discount does to be honest.
Everything is pretty much a legal scam. Streaming services are falling into the abyss and are all in collusion. It's so odd to me how they all advertise their competitors and even FUBOTV and Paramount+ pat each other on the back. None of it makes sense . . . except for kickbacks on ratings.
