Man that was such a fun game to go to. Shesterkin was unbelievable in that 2nd period; constant I-GOR chants throughout the entire game that had the stadium rocking.
Big clutch win. Hopefully Shesty is not gone for long. Huge growth opportunity for the Rangers young defensive stars: keep it together in front of Georgiev until Shesty gets back. Big opportunity for Georgiev also to prove he belongs in the NHL.
Havent posted here in a long time so i hope I do not jinx it! This is the best Ranger team I can remember in a very long time. The coaching is perfect for the roster. Drurys moves in the offseason were what the DR ordered. Its a streaky league but ....wow....just wow.
The team desperately needed more toughness in the bottom 6. I don't think Ryan Reaves importance to this team is stated enough to be honest.
Trouba starting to come good w/ Laffy and Kaako as well... Panarin is among the the most likeable NHL players in the league and has some of the best hands the PP is usimng Kreider ExACTL:Y how he shold be used and creating spaces and lanes around him...

I mean, when they both got fired and the leaks were over how we reacted with the Capitals...I truly wasn't pissed off with the players...its like demanding your 1st grade son pass a trig test. It wasn't there. Respond with what? Every f'in year...the year before being embarrassed physically being booted by the Hurricanes was it? All the meetings with the Islanders...I would tell my friends I would die to have a team like the Islanders...who I despise...and after getting booted out and getting Lafran with the first pick? Nothing..nada...it was like those two were trying to prove a point that we don't go there...and you really have to be a blind asshole to watch the playoffs every damn year and the punishment that's handed out and think this team could ever compete when and if it got there? So Drury comes in and doesn't plant a seed...lay an egg...he puts several thousand pounds of TNT and says "never ever again". And you can see it...from the H.C. and Quinn never demanding more toughness from the front office...screw them all for trying to reinvent the wheel. Screw them all...don't let the door hit you. I love Davidson...and a decent reason Panerin ended up here was probably because of him...but that's it. Jeff made some nice draft moves and received a shitload of luck. How they were not able to do the easier part or thought it was unnecessary makes me really wonder how bright those two guys actually are.
Excited for tonight's game. Hopefully Georgiev keeps up the good work and our O bails him out when he inevitably doesn't play like Igor.
