If he could start showing the same frustration addressing his defensive coordinator along with players who are blowing coverages that he does with refs I would feel much more confident about him as a head coach. The refs were almost as bad as his defense.
I dont get this desire to see him scream all the time. That being said he's never really just stoic and quiet. He kinda is somewhere in the middle typically
Saleh needs to watch some episodes of Monk to see what Monk looks like when he gets upset and then he needs to make sure he never looks like that when he gets upset.
Theres just no talent on this defense. It's just that simple. Most these guys aren't even our starters yet they've been out there all season.
I'd like him to scream a bit more. I'd like him to hold his team, and his coaches' feet to the fire. Great coaches hold their players and the coordinators accountable and Saleh either is not able to do that, or does know that he even needs to do that.
But what's that gonna do if you don't have talent? Half these guys probably won't be on this team in a season. Again they're not even our backups in some instances.
The problem with being a screamer is that you have to earn the right to do that. A bad coach who screams just looks asinine in the process. A guy with some credibility in the locker room, well he can scream and get some mileage out of it if he is careful not to abuse the process. It's true in almost all walks of life that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. What you really want out of your players is respect and professional fear. You shouldn't have to scream at them because they should know that if they screw up they are on very thin ice. Parcells rarely screamed at people but his glances could kill.
Belichick doesn’t do this, he’s rather plain and stoic but he’s one of the greatest coaches ever. I mean if he has to show fans fire to make it seem like he cares, that doesn’t make sense to me. They need to play better, tons of chunk yardage, it’s rather sickening and it doesn’t matter if he shows emotion or not. I’m still under the notion he needs to take charge on defensive side because whatever Ulbrich is doing isn’t working.
The officials absolutely stunk. We didn’t get a single call go our way all day. The PI on Hall was a joke and the no call on Moore was just as bad. I’d rather see Salah show some emotion and tell them they’re terrible than meekly stand there and accept it.
exactly. The jets don’t need any help being bad. I don’t think I’ve seen an overturn on an inches play like that before on 4th down. The PI that wasn’t called, there was another egregious play, like it was bad.
