a bunch of players are back but it's a Sorokin show again. If it wasn't for him, this one would have been over by now.
Trotz isn’t getting fired but this inability to generate even a semblance of offense is definitely on the coaching.
Pathetically bad plays by Beauvillier at the end - first he gets caught up ice, leading to the 2-on-1, and then he is lazy getting back, and doesn't check Karlsson as he scores the game winner. If you can't score, at least play defense, for God's sake. This is still more Lamoriello's fault for putting together a bad roster IMO, but you can't excuse the coach when a team is this bad for this long.
I have already accepted this will be a bad year with no playoffs. They don't need to tear it all down and start over. Their is a nice core of young players to build around led by Sorokin. He has been outstanding for the most part and the best player on this team. Lou will have his work cut out for him this offseason.
10th loss in a row... Trotz is Rex Ryan 2.0. His shtick lasted two seasons and then players stopped responding. At least Sexy Rexy floated around for a few seasons. Trotz just nose dived.
I think this season actually points to Trotz being a miracle worker with this roster for his first three years.
The scheme works, but you have to have elite offensive players to make it work, PP is an abomination, that’s not scheme, that’s players who can’t score.
Exactly. I don't follow college hockey of any of these other leagues where players come from the draft. If we do get the #1 pick I hope their is a generational talent like Crosby or Ovi we can pick.
