Not about debating who won or players traded. It's a simple question. Do you really trust JD and the JETS w/all the picks we have coming up? Because IMO, THIS IS IT. This is the CENTER of the rebuild over the next year... All the eggs he traded for are in this purdy lil basket and ...well, here we go. again, Just asking if you trust them..THAT'S IT.
Well this past draft looks like it could be excellent so I certainly want to see this regime with another draft. Can’t exactly say I trust them but cautiously hopeful.
2020 draft looks fucking awful. 2021 draft looks really good and it looks like the type of draft that can change a franchise’s fortune. Douglas is fantastic in the trade market and dreadful in the free agent market. Pick your poison I guess. I think he’s better than Mike M. and Idzik so that’s something I think?
Can't say that I trust anyone in that building right now when the product they're putting on the field is now on the verge of being historically awful. I know they say that it's darkest just before the dawn. Well, it had better be one freakin' bright dawn we're about to head into, because this nonsense is getting old quickly.
Speaking of which. The Jets are like the first person that dies in a zombie apocalypse movie. No one feels bad because they did something dumb as fuck to get themselves killed.
I liken them more to that GEICO horror movie commercial. They're the ones that say that the group should hide over by the chainsaws when there's a perfectly good getaway car sitting there with the engine on.
It’s the CS, this coaching staff is getting schooled every week. They could have the 92 Cowboys roster and not make the playoffs.
Problem is they have too many holes. Defense Offense and special teams. Yeah Zach, Moore, Carter and Vera Tucker look or could look good in 2022, but defense and offensive line is a big need. Can they strike gold in 2022, can only hope.
Last draft looks good. Not sure if it’s because Gase was gone and Douglas is 100% in charge or just a coincidence but it’s encouraging and I’m good with seeing another draft
Carter, AVT and Moore suggest he has some star spotting ability, alongside some lower drafted players like MC2 and Hall. I'm good with it. I'd be a whole lot better with it if Wilson nails it on his return to the team.
I don’t think Gase has anything to do with it. Gase doesn’t scream players like Becton and Mims. Douglas just had a dreadful draft. If he repeats his 2021 draft than we might be on to something.
100% I trust him AVT Moore Carter Hall Carter II If he hit on 3 star players last year, that's a hell of a haul in one draft.
Something that people need to realize is how impressive it is to have what are essentially obvious hits on a 1, 2, 4, and 5 in the same draft, and for it to be clear this quickly. -Alijah Vera-Tucker may never be the All-Pro he has been touted to become, but he is at least an above average Guard already. As a rookie. -Elijah Moore is on a 4 game streak averaging 84 receiving yards and 1 TD per game. As a rookie. -Michael Carter, even though he got hurt today is on pace for 1,250 all purpose yards. As a rookie -Michael Carter II is a good slot corner. As a rookie. You shouldn't be able to look at a draft class after 10 games and say we have 4 legit players for sure... If you can say that after 2 seasons it was a good draft. Wilson will probably make or break Douglas' Jets career regardless of this draft, but if Wilson is a hit, this may go down as one of the best drafts of all time. In my opinion, how could you want to hand over the 2022 draft to anyone else?
Do you guys think we will see Becton ever again? I am starting to wonder. Reportedly his physical conditioning is piss poor, he is constantly overweight resulting in the inability to stay healthy for more than 15 minutes. That would pretty much be the cherry on top of the hideous 2020 draft class.
One hired the other. That's shaken my faith in Douglas. For the most part, I still trust his player evaluation skills, but his 2020 draft class is looking really poor right now, like Idzik poor. He's thankfully redeemed himself with this draft. The 2023 draft will be big for him. We can't afford a repeat of 2020.
Can't give up on Saleh after one season. It's not fair to him and it's not fair to this franchise. It's gonna take time for this team to gel and grow and I will continue saying it, this next off season is going to be critical to that growth.
Also, I'm not as down on the 2020 draft as some others. I think it's still possible that you can walk away from that class with 4 out of the 9 guys.
