I think he has overly course-corrected. He probably thought the fiery routine was a bit too much as a HC but has gone too far in the wet blanket direction now.

Also, what is far more telling is a comparisons between AG and RS 1-6 games and you guessed it, they both had 5 L and 1 W. AG 61pts for to 134against, RS 53 -151... seems our new shinny HC is worse then his predecessor. at least at this pint in time. That is why I am off the RS band wagon.
My concern is: Will Saleh tell his best friend's brother (our OC) that he is doing a terrible job? All those assistant offensive coaches & quality assistants, why doesn't someone tell LeFleur that running twice into the center of the line to start games isn't working!!!
I think it's a matter of semantics. IMO there is middle ground and a time when either can be correct. Yes, patience is needed in some cases. If both Saleh and LaFleur realize the mistakes they've been making and start taking steps to correct those flaws, then they deserve patience and time from JD, the Johnsons, the media, and the fanbase. We didn't get in this mess overnight, and we've had a perfect storm of bad luck with Knapp dying, all the injuries, solid plans to develop a long-term backup QB failing, as well as some draft picks not developing (as happens with all draft picks), so we're not getting out of it overnight. Thus it's going to require a lot of patience from the fanbase. OTOH, coaches have to be honest with themselves and realize when they're not doing what they said they would do, their approach isn't working, when they're doing an awful job, and the team isn't even competitive. If they are stubborn or in denial, then one cannot afford to be patient for long like we were with Rex, Bowles and Mac. Then one must realize that a mistake was made, and move quickly to cut one's losses. Saleh promised to take a deep look at things during the bye, and he came up with nothing? Just minor tweaking? That doesn't even sound smart, much less realistic, or any sense of urgency or pride. Of course, he may just be saying that to the media to save face and cover for his friend LaFleur. Hopefully, behind the scenes, he is taking steps to make major changes with the offense, with their game plans, with preparing the team to play, and with instilling discipline in the players. I certainly hope that JD and Saleh are talking and JD is helping Saleh realize where the problems lie and that Saleh is listening and cooperating. If so, he should be given a chance to make the needed changes and hire an experienced OC for next year. If not, he insists that his approach was fine and that LaFleur was doing a good job, then he's not the right man for the job and should not be back next year, because without admission of his flaws and mistakes, there's no way that he or the team will improve. We have talent, and I'm certain that JD will add even more talent with all our draft capital and cap space. This team, with proper coaching, should be able to challenge at least for a wild card spot next season. If we aren't, then we have the wrong HC and CS. We have the right GM.
Have you ever had to tackle extremely large fast human beings for a living while being scared for serious injury to the head or neck injury if you don't? There are different ways to make people accountable. It doesn't have to be screaming and yelling. But it feels like this staff and organization is fine with losing. Saleh should be fucking pissed about losing, even if it doesn't come out as screaming and I don't get that feeling from him.
But again, you'd be a different breed of person if you were playing a violent sport. I'm sure of it. Because you wouldn't have made it that far if yelling and screaming was that much of an issue for you.
