It seems there has been an awful lot of defensive holding calls on running plays on this Jets defense. What is Saleh/Ulbrich teaching them to do? I dont want Quinnen WIlliams grabbing the guard and pulling him away so some shitty linebacker can miss a tackle. Williams is born to penetrate
After 6 games. Got it. Maybe he should have pulled the plug on him after 3 games. Give the next guy 3 games. If he isn't getting the job done go to the next guy. He gets 3 games. Have you ever run a company or managed people? While we are at it, they should probably can the DC after yesterday's disaster. Let the coaching merry-go-round begin!
Maybe you're right... which makes me think the scheme might be a mis-match to the talent on hand. Why force the ball to your worse players? We're inviting offenses to take the easy yardage available in the middle of the field. That's why we're suckers in 3rd down situations. I'd love to see a breakdown of offensive drives against us... and the number of plays they run on each and the area(s) of the field that they're finding success.
Today on Wfan Carlton and Roberts were skewering Saleh Bil bellichek had nothing fancy that he threw at the Jets defense...he called 20 or 30 Screen passes and those idiot Jet coaches couldn't figure that out?? TOTAL INCOMPETENCE
You bet I have but I can't say I ever had to "make an example" of anybody but I did let some people go because they couldn't do what they were being paid to do. In this case the important thing is to not waste any more time when no progress is being made when there is no reason to expect any positive change to come by staying with the status quo. Sending a message to everyone else is just a benefit to be gained by doing what needs to be done. Or, you could just waste the rest of the season because you don't want to fire anybody for any reason. Of course that means that everyone else who is working towards the goal of getting better is screwed because nothing will change. Valuable time to improve wasted because someone is reluctant to do that which needs to be done. What's to be gained by waiting?
Yep, welcome to Big Pharma football ....courtesy of the Band Aid Boyz Johnson and Johnson Profits over Fans You only have Levrege if you don't pay up and attend games You can also watch something else on CBS or FOX not the Jets
Not sure what you're getting at but the big money in having an NFL team is not the week to week or year to year revenues but the appreciation in value from the time you buy it until the time you sell it. Johnson paid $635 million in 2020 for a business that's now worth over four billion. That's changed somewhat in more recent times due to high TV revenues but the big profit is still in the franchise value. Think of it this way, Woody could sell off a quarter of the team for a cool billion and still have a large controlling interest.
The phins coach isn't a rookie and they are in a completely different melt down. Imagine following up a 10 win season with 4 top 50 picks, and then starting the next year 1-6. Someone has to pay for that.
Well we can all embarrass them into selling by not attending games..empty stadium Johnsons only selling for true value 4 billion Hmm...maybe the Fans can chip in and co own like GB ahah
We need an owner like Dave Tepper. He is impatient and if Rhule doesn't get the ship straightened out quickly, he won't last long.
Yeah, I know a guy who owns a share of the Packers but he doesn't get any dividends or anything - I think there may be something like preferred stock that is held very closely and has just a small group of owners who profit.
@Ralebird - while I agree there's no way Salah gets canned (besides the rash optics and the resultitive unattractiveness of the NYJ org to any potential replacements) I gotta admit that the above in bold is pretty fuckin' funny....
What are you blind? I just did in my previous post (re-posted below): Now that we've established my 'germane' credentials and that Saleh's going nowhere for now, the fact that you've prompted "a lot of people's accounts to put you on ignore" is very telling (not to mention pretty effin' funny). .
t I thought we just did?? He had two weeks to prepare for a team he had already faced once this season. He had 5 game tapes to look at and evaluate. What the fans witnessed yesterday was a team that just hired a bunch of guys off the street and decided to play the game. There was ZERO adjustments prior to the game or during....
Saleh isn't going anywhere, nor should he. He needs to be given the chance to mold the team to his vision. The early results are not promising, however, especially in comparison to the fiasco of the past couple of years... and that's saying something.
