Probably because up until recently he seemed a really knowledgable poster, even if you didn't agree with some of his posts but now he is posting some really whacky stuff since the draft, tinfoil hat territory. Now it would be fine if you state your point of view and left it at that but to keep on battering away with it over and over then it is always going to garner a reaction from people.
I'm sure everyone's said some stuff here over the course of they're 10-15 years on the board that seemed crazy and was spot on.
Well if JD gets the sack by the seasons' end and Zach is replaced in the draft next year I will build him a pedestal with my own bare hands.
Almost the identical situation last night rams up by 6 2 mins 20 to go with no timeouts for seattle. Rams in 3rd and long. Rams made the same choice as the Jets passing to win the game. The result was an incomplete pass and punt. But McVay made the same choice to try to win the game with the offense rather than hope the defense stops Geno Smith. And again I agree trying to win the game rather than save 20 seconds was the smart choice. McVay seemed to agree as well.
If it was Russell Wilson playing uninjured, I would have tried to wint he game outright, but with Geno Smith at QB, I would have run the ball, then punted and dared Geno to win the game. I would probably do the same against any backup, especially one who never plays, like Geno.
Yeah... but didn't he opt to kick a field goal on 4th & 2 to add 3 points rather than put the game away?
I thought it was a questionable decision when you have Stafford playing well and a nifty back like Henderson. You make it a two score lead late.
Sam Darnold after 4 games his rookie year was 73/127 57.5% completion 4 TD 5 INT Zach Wilson after 4 games is 79/139 56.8% completion 4 TD 8 INT 2018 Jets were 1-3. Darnold beat Detroit (6-10) and lost to Miami (7-9), Cleveland (7-8-1) and Jacksonville (5-11). 2021 Jets are 1-3. Wilson beat TEN and lost to the Pats, Denver and Carolina. After 4 games were people saying that Darnold was an absolute bust and that the Jets should draft a QB in the first round the following year? I'm just curious.
Improve the team through the Draft & save the cap $ for our own players...Foly, Q, etc. 50mil can disappear pretty fast signing FA's. I believe we have 10 picks. Get me a OC,OG, TE, S, LB, CB, with our first 6 picks then BPA last 4. First 6 picks are 2 #1's, 2 #2, 1 #3, 1#4. A lot of quality picks. We should be able to fill most of the holes through the draft. (Get rid of Magovern, Roten, & save some more $)
