Yes it is. It doesn’t change the fact that Douglas has been here for just over 2 years, not 3. There are enough things to be critical of regarding Douglases performance without having to add an extra year onto his tenure.
Douglas is in his 3rd year. This is the 2021 season and the season ends in 2022. Hence 21-22 unless the Superbowl which is the official end of the football season is played before New Years Day 2022. His 3rd year will be complete after the Super Bowl 2022.
I don't understand why this is such hard concept for some here. Douglas is in his third season. Year 3 of a 6 year deal which runs thru the 2024 season (3 more seasons). Considering the heavy lifting from the GM perspective is already done, as well as any playoff chances this team had, I'd say 2021 is in full swing.
I would kill for a season that lasted until Veteran's Day...Here's the way I explain it to friends in funny but factual way: The Jets have the same 6 month season as the rest of the NFL teams just that the Jets' season goes from May 1 (the draft) until Columbus Day. Frees us up for the holidays...
Yes, but saying he is IN his third year is very different than saying that he has been here three years. In reality, he has only been here a little over 2 years (2 1/4).
We have all of these offensive assistants and run game coordinators we have and shit on top of having Saleh as the head coach and not one of these nitwits saw the delay of game coming on the field goal attempt? The one he drilled and then we had to punt because we were sleeping at the wheel? It's minute given how the rest of the game went but it's one of many mistakes.
Saleh is coaching an absolute garbage roster; hard to pin this as his fault. You need players. hell, one player made people think a pathetic, losing coach was the greatest coach in history.
Agreed, this isn't on Saleh. He's made mistakes like any rookie coach, but nobody could win with this roster.
