Didn't see this posted, sorry if it was... Almost 25,000 votes have been recorded. hmmm, something seems fishy. But I'll take it. :jets: Edit: I should have put "win the AFC" in the title, not win the superbowl.
Yeah that number did a lot of swinging last night and then moved into rout phase in favor of the Jets this morning. The nicest thing about the Jets playing the Pats next week is that I know Belichik is in panic mode. He could well win the game and will be favored to, but if he loses (and that's a real possibility) he's going to look like a chump. Ah the joys of being a Jet fan in January.
Reminds me of the commercial back in 1999 with the young father with his little son cheering the Jets winning the superbowl in 69 decked out in Jets gear... then every year the son is still in his Jets Jersey watching the superbowl and the father is jumping around wearing whatever team was winnings garb... the last scene is the grown up son and older father sitting on the couch both decked out in Jets gear.... The fathers line, "Yes!!! It's all about loyalty!!!"
As a former resident of the state, I suspect this poll is the result of 22,500 Connecticut fair-weather Patriot fans blowing along with perceived winds of change. The AFC title nod is a larf, though. LT gets no love! Seriously, though, this proves something that many of us have been saying over the last 24 hours: for the Patriots, mystique and aura are dead. They're just another team.
Yes, there had to have been some kind of mistake. I voted last night and there was like 5% Jets. I voted for the Jets again though.
Who the hell is going to send bots to pump up the Jets? And on New Year's Eve? Oh, wait, I just figured it out. Everyone was drunk and pressed the wrong button.
I was going to rip ESPN for still showing Kevin Barlow, instead of Leon as our primary running back in the post season RBs poll, but so does the "unofficial" depth chart on the Jets homepage.
the Jets are not favored to win the AFC. Someone posted this earlier today, and someone must've used a bot or a macro or whatever it's called. When I voted on this this morning, the results were VERY different.
