Just got back from Fogo De Chao and watching the game. 1st drive looked pretty good and that kid kicker might be a keeper. Settling in for the night. Trying to avoid any spoilers although I do know the score of the game so, I'll be back later.
It’s a new system, I know they are professionals but this stuff takes time and lots and lots of repetition. I want to see an upward trend with team starting with regular season games. They experiment so much during training camp, it’s no surprise that there are so many mistakes and it looks like they are not building chemistry. Jets have good pieces, good scheme and good coaches, once the team starts using their offensive foundation on a consistent basis, and hopefully stay healthy, this team is going to be competitive and will be in a lot of games.
On another note, can we put the Becton concern to rest? Two games and twice Wilson had plenty of time to read the field. I get it, the starters for Green Bay weren't in, but he has been performing awesome in both games
I was really surprised White was in there for his final series. White had taken a shot on the last play of his previous series and looked hurt. The coaching staff should have gone to Morgan on the next series. Speaking of Morgan, he stinks Jets K looks pretty good--field goal squeaked in but his XPs look perfect Both jets INT were fine athletic plays, although I not sure either guy make the 53 Run defense must get the guy DOWN--after the hits they constantly allowed the pile to get pushed 5 yards Wilson look really good. Pass rush disappointed Mosey still has some rust Start Kraft over Herndon Davis dominated packers backup DBs Well run 4th quarter by the jets--they ran a lot of time off clock and snapped the ball with the play clock always under 5 Berrios has a lot of heart as WR but stinks as PR OK--what did I get wrong?
From NFL.com: NFL Research: Wilson's 9-of-11 passing (81.8 comp pct), 128 pass yards, two pass TDs and 154.7 passer rating against Green Bay are all higher marks than anything Sam Darnold produced in a single preseason game with the Jets from 2018-2019.
its never good to be hearing that ur dude at LT is gettin bet like a drum. the 2 PS games are better. and thats good. "put it to rest" ... its an ongoing evalution, methinks
Nope. He was getting murdered all week by their starting pass rushers who were both held out today. The jury is still out.
I see it as reporting what happened not "stirring the pot." I wonder if other fan bases are so opposed to comprehensive coverage.
Again, Idk if all of that is worth worrying about. He was getting beat like a drum heading into the first game and he had no issues come game time. He was getting beat like a drum heading into the game today and he played well again. It's the same shit with Wilson. Wilson was said to have been struggling all practice the last few weeks. He comes in and looks great in both games. I think it's the media over analyzing practice
While I find it very annoying that twice I've heard how many times hes been beaten in practice while others say he played well as was the case the other day in joint practice with GB And other teams dont chart plays like the NY guys do. You wont find Lawrence or Fields comp/atts, Just flowery praise attributed to some coach or player
I found myself hoping he didn't fall down before he hit someone. Does anyone remember during early camp when that tweet was posted with a video of a slimmed-down Mekhi Becton at the gym? Take a look at this video or any other one from camp and tell me that previous video looks like it was even taken in the past year. This dude is making his own jersey cry.
The reality is that both how many times he, or anyone, was beaten is just as important as how many times things went well if you're going to evaluate overall performance objectively. Why would any real fan want half the input stifled?
