I wasn't a big Lance guy based on the fact that he has such limited experience especially at a lower level. But you look at Wentz's peak seasons in the NFL and it can make you feel a little better. I personally wouldn't be happy with a quarterback that was that raw especially coming into this situation, but I do understand the rationale because of the arm/speed/size factor.
