No way. Saleh and our soon to be top 5 Defense isn't in business of getting punked by no damn inexperienced rookie QB who's yet to play a single down of even PRESEASON football. I'd quit on 2021's season before it even started if a rookie QB wasn't struggling vs our Defense throughout all of training camp. (This D will make Zach Wilson better long-term). Michael Jordan could never beat his older brother in basketball and MJ23's older brother never let MJ win a single game. But once MJ got tired of losing? And won his 1st one on one game vs. his brother? His older brother NEVER beat him again.
You know it's weird, back in the day there were all kinds of people with "jetfan" or "jetsfan" somewhere in their username, and I don't think I realized when it happened but you stopped really seeing that. After a certain point (2006-ish?) it became more common for new members who weren't Jets fans but wanted the forum and mods to think they were, those people were the ones choosing those usernames.
Absolutely not. Your young QB would immediately lose the respect of his teammates if Saleh did anything like this. The Dolphins tried this with Tannehill back in 2015 and it was a disaster. The Jets have committed to Wilson, so they need to keep running him out there day after day and let him improve naturally. If there's no improvement as the season approaches, then there will be some changes in philosophy, like attacking the first read, keeping the full-back in to buy time, etc., while he continues to develop. We can argue all day whether or not he was ready to take this step. None of that matters now, he's the guy. If you believe in him, then you work him, work him again, and work him some more until, one by one, the pieces come together... or they don't.
I don't think Zach would be in favor of this at all. The harder it is, the harder he'll work, the better - and more quickly - he'll become. As long as they have the "don't hit the QB" rule, the more pressure he feels, the better. He'll get it.
Crazy idea, Zach just needs to buckle down and get on with his job. Do you think other teams will "stand down" their defence because Zach is having a bad day? He just needs to put his hard hat on and see it through - he will be better for it in the long run.
Obviously for the sake of this franchise and as a fan in general, I can't wait to look back on these threads and reactions in a few years. I means Jesus. It's the second week of training camp LOL
They could do like high school teams do at the end of a game, one is losing by 5 tds but they put in the team manager who is disabled and the defense just stands back clapping as they let him score a td. Something like that jetfan2477346986?
One trolling lure that's a surefire Wahoo catcher is the Yo-zuri Bonita..... I put one out on the corner or center shotgun behind the other baits (to avoid tangles)in a multi-bit spread when I think Wahoo are in area but still want to troll baits for other species like dolphin. Purple and Black is my favorite but have also had a "mackerel/blue& white" get SMASHED by a 50#er before
also, they have serious teeth, so I recommend at least 90# single strand wire with a hay-wire twist, or braided cable with crimps
Saleh can't call off the dogs to give Zack a fun-filled day. BUT, Saleh knows what BOTH the offense and defense is calling. Saleh could have the offense call the perfect play to counter what the D is up to. For example, Saleh could call for a DB blitz off the blind side, and also call a screen to Moore on that side too. Or some other blitz killer play. Give the O some confidence w/o calling off the D.
If Wilson can't play because the defense is beating him then maybe Jets made a mistake drafting him and shouldn't be in the NFL. This is a professional league not a High School varsity team.
